Yeah. But the events that led up to this are the same if Cutler starts this Sunday or not. So outrage shouldn't change based on this move.

It's yet another step into Bazooka's circus tent dude. Some tents you don't want to get too deep into, ya know?

Was that code for some sort of sexual advance towards me? I'm straight.

IIRC that isn't true. They basically signed 1 year deals.
What isn't true?

Dalton gets $18 million guaranteed for the season and it goes up to $22 million in February.

I thought none of his money for next year was guaranteed and I thought Kaepernick had a similar deal. On paper Culter had the worst deal when it comes to flexibility.

Anyway, I wonder how much this will change the line. It was 6.5. It will at least go to 7.5 which is a Huge difference to go OVER a TD.

Doesn't matter. The Lions were going to win by 10+ anyway.

I think we are saying the same thing.

The guaranteed money is basically just this years money which for Dalton was $18 million. In February, Dalton gets an extra $4 million kicked in.

Cutler had a worse deal in every possible way.

I don't know what the line will go to but I'm confident that Detroit wins by a couple TD's at least. At least.

Already saw it at +8.5

It has to get to 10 at the minimum.

I wonder how this is going to effect all those passing records he was going to put up this season?

Should have just cut your loses last season and let him walk.

Im sorry a few of you were surprised that Jay Cutler is not a good quarterback.

It's very simple in my mind.

1. They won't cut him.

2. They only trade him if they like the Florida St QB or Oregon QB and know that they can trade up to get the one they want or know that they can get him where they pick. Which will be any where from 7-12. And yes, I think they can get a trade partner. At least one team will want Cutler. Maybe as many as 3 teams.

Got it everybody? Good.

Jimmy Clausen won't be our starter come 2015 season. My hope is that he plays bad enough to ensure a top 8 pick.

Cutler should have been benched weeks prior. If Trestman would have been benched him and came out and said he is not doing X, Y, and Z and until he can learn to do those things he won't be a Bears starter, he might have saved his job. Instead, Trestman allowed Cutler to sink the team further into the abyss. Thus, sealing his fate and being another notch on the Jay Cutler bedpost.

Cutler and Bears 1st for Cousins and Washington's 1st was the rumor mentioned this morning

He's not. But getting rid of Jay now is priority one. Washington would be insane to make that trade.

This is Trestman's Hail Mary to save his job. He's praying Clausen goes 350/4TDs and they finish 7-9 so he can say "see, this can work."

What I just said on @nflnetwork : Bears offensive players believe Clausen will 'light it up,' simply because he'll run offense as prescribed

https://twitter.com/MikeSilver/status/545376688490557441

I'm told Trestman felt he could no longer play Cutler 'simply to justify a contract' when his performance was so poor...

Cousins has only played a few games in the NFL for a horrible team. He still has a chance to improve and get better. Jay is who we thought he was...bad, a douchbag, and a bad teammate. He has zero chance of improving.
Bears would jump all over this deal if it is proposed.

Yup. One year tryout. Huge money savings.

You do that deal without question.

So Trestman is trying to save his job. I would still fire him. He'll throw Cutler under the bus but he will protect his coaches.

I think it's too late to save his job. I also think that Trestman was told to bench Jay.

For me it is simple. He was benched by (whomever does not matter) because as was speculated he was fucking around in that NO game. I do not know if tanking is the right word but changing plays and ignoring coaches completely. Would not surprise me if it were he that changed to the odd Forte runs with 4 min left.

No way in the world did Trestman make this call in his own.

Nas, seriously, what difference does it make? The Bears are not going to win with Cutler. It's a fact. Time to cut bait. What's going to be the result of changing QB's......the Bears will start losing football games? It's over. This team is now in the class with the Jets. They are a step above the Raiders. Time to be proactive.

Cutler is done here. This is the ultimate FU to this guy.
