How incredible is that the Bears could have two new tackles and still be a better team because it would mean they wouldn't have all these bums they acquired.

Your math is awful.

Where do they go with the two second round picks? They have a ton of TEs on the roster, so TE seems unlikely. Numerous guys that can play G, are pretty much locked in to Leno and Massie due to cap situation, unlikely a guy that can start day one and would be and upgrade at T falls into second round. Tons of money spend on LB's, need depth, but not a huge need. QB situation is what it is at this point. It would seem the offense desperately needs someone other than Allen Robinson that can make plays, speed at WR is a glaring need and Robinson will be a free agent soon. So, does it make sense to use one of the picks on the best WR available?

They have to use at least one of the two picks on the OL.

Then maybe TE, CB, S

I don't think having a ton of TEs on the roster right now matters.

In order

OT
TE
EDGE
MLB
QB

Pretty depressing since four of those positions are ones they dropped a ton of money on in free agency and they are all still roster weaknesses.

They literally have to take a WR with one of their 2nd round picks. There are too many potential studs available to punt on WR until the end of the draft. I would like a WR and TE/T.

I guess we have a different definition of a " ton"

You're gonna do a 180 on Quinn by week two, you don't know wtf you're talking about.

Graham is garbage, bad signing.

I could see Pace packaging both 2nds and next years first to move up to like 25 for a guy who would of been there in the 2nd.

They dont have a starting caliber offensive tackle on the roster. I know its a loaded WR draft but its a luxury the Bears cannot afford.

Drafting a "need" who won't play this year and is inferior to WR's or other players on the board is the Phil Emery draft strategy. No thanks! Besides the Bears can use an elite receiver with speed.

It is impossible to play quarterback in the NFL with Charles Leno and Bobbie Massie at tackle.

They need a OTs and a G more than they do a WR, no matter how they get them. Signing Foles was a big mistake. They wasted a lot of money unnecessarily. Pace is an idiot.

Wait a minute. I have been told on this board that although Massie and Leno were awful last season they will magically be much better this year. At least one of these "experts" has also said that both Leno and Massie were at least "league average" before last season? Makes me wonder a lot about the sanity of these people.

There won't likely be a G or T who will be in the same class as the WR's who may be available. You don't pass on a potential star in order to fill a need.

Players on veteran contracts generally dont get better as they get older. Expect Leno to be just as bad and Massie to be even worse.

A team that was building for the future would take the best player on the board, but Pace is likely to reach for an OT prospect because he is in win or else mode. Just hope he doesn't try to package future picks to move up because if the wheels come off this year whoever takes over next year will need every pick to start restocking the roster. They have forced themselves into taking another shot at a franchise QB because unless Mitch dramatically improves there is no way they are picking up his option and Foles is at best a one or two year bridge to the next QB.

Nope. Just smart enough to set myself up for success. The ownership of those three teams is beyond disaster level

The 2nd round picks are close together.

They can easily take the best OT available at 43, then take the best WR available at 50.

The best OT could have a mid 3rd round grade. No thanks! They'll have a 1st round pick in 2021 and be able to cut Leno and Massie. Wait until then.

We could probably get WRs Michael Pittman or Laviska Shenault at 43, and then take best OT at 50, which I am hoping is Matt Hennessey.

If a WR with a first round grade or if someone like Jonathan Taylor is still there with first 2nd round pick you need to think about picking a potential game changing offensive player. Hearing a lot about how Foles is more of a point guard type where he tries to get the ball to skill position players quickly and let them try to make a play. That seems to be the basic concept of Nagy's offense and is why you must have quality TE's and speed on offense to turn missed tackles into 5-7 yard gains which keep the chains moving. If, and it's a big if, Foles is able to run the offense efficiently it will become glaringly obvious that Mitch was the problem, if the offense is still bottom 5 with Foles it will be obvious that Nagy's playcalling and design is the issue, either way we will likely know fairly early next year.

No.

Draft OT this year with a second round pick.

Bears have two of them.

Do they have two 2nd rounders in 2021?

They'll have a 1st and 2nd next season. Forcing yourself to draft a so called need in the 2nd round when more talented players are available is stupid. Phil Emery stupid. Leno and Massie will be starters this year. It's best to accept that and attack the position with money and draft picks next offseason.
