Look at the who the Bear's just hired as their OC staff. They are hired to complete the development of Justin Fields into a pro bowl quarterback.

Fields could sell his soul to the devil and the devil himself could not even make J.Fields a pro bowl QB

Fields is not a devil worshipper.

That's why they call those things MOCK DRAFTS. Because no serious GM would ever draft Williams and had the chance to get the haul of draft picks and players that trading the number one pick would give them.

Why is Williams so much more valuable than Fields though? Shouldn't Fields give us more draft picks and players than Williams?

when poles made the trade last year, we all had hoped for this outcome because of the chance to draft williams. This was the williams sweepstakes across the nfl. Now, because he was emotional in the stands with this parents, some want to change direction

Yep. That and this weird emotion based need to defend/support Fields regardless of performance. Fans want Fields as QB and that's that, it doesn't matter if option B is prime Tom Brady. It's a cult.

While the idea of amassing tons of picks by trading down and keeping Fields is tantalizing, there are several factors that point to drafting a QB.

Biggest issue is that you really still do not know if Fields will ever develop as a passer, he does not seem to respond to coaching, still has the same fundamental flaws he had when he came into the league, why risk missing out on a potential franchise QB when you really do not know if Fields can even reach NFL replacement level production as a passer?

There is also the rookie QB window that opens up and allows you to upgrade your roster via free agency, once you pay a QB you start doing the reverse as you have to shed cap room and cannot retain the good young players on your roster.

You saw QB's that climb the pocket and look downfield and a QB that leaks the pocket at the first sign of pressure play last weekend, the NFL is a cruel business and teams will ruthlessly exploit your weaknesses until you prove you have adjusted, do not see Fields doing that after several years in the league.

it's been 3 years, we know he's not going to improve as a passer. can you win with him as he is? maybe in regular season but come playoffs you need a passing qb. it's time to move on and let someone else figure out how to win regular season games with fields

You don't see the progress that Fields hasmade last year for whatever reason. I do after the offensive line got healthy and settled in.

Um, the way Williams shit the bed last season should wrest Williams away from the people wishing to draft this spoiled wuss. He reminds me of Johnny Manzeil but without the ability to run.

That’s something we haven’t even really discussed. Fields can barely win games in the regular season against shitty teams. He would be even more impotent than Lamar against good defenses in the playoffs.

Hoge and Jahns broke down the offensive roster and they put Fields in the "good" category where the rest of the league has him as average at best, definitely some in town stupid takes, found them constantly saying, "I know his tape sucked, but we think he's good when discussing several guys they had way over valued, but an interesting listen.

I was surprised by that. Lucas went through all the things Fields can’t do and then landed on a ‘good’ grade. Then he admitted you need the QB to be one of the top guys on the team so in this case, good isn’t exactly good and that he wouldn’t argue if somebody wanted to call him average.

I think you're seeing the power of the Fields cult. Lucas and the hosts are not cultists, but they throw a bone to the cult through things like this. If the cult didn't exist they'd keep him at average and wouldn't need to add a bunch of disingenuous praise at the end of their valid critique. Social media hate is real and they don't want the smoke, so they pander.

Lots of pandering because Fields isn't boring.....He also doesn't move the sticks.

Mahomes isn't boring either but his main thing, like all the greats, is moving the sticks, maintaining drives.

Fields also never got the coach openly giving up on him and benching him like (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and Cutler got before they were shipped out of town.

By everyone's account Jackson is the far better passer than Fields ( and I still dont think he's good at it ) and you saw the result last weekend when Baltimore got down more than one score and he was forced to pass to bring them back. It looked exactly like Fields trying to pass down scores in the 4th quarters of games. That in of itself gives you the answer whether or not to dump Fields.

Laugh at the guy whatever, Cowherd is saying Williams doesn't want to end up in Chciago and don't be surprised if Washington ends up with him.

Williams has all of the "tells" of a pampered asshole ala Johnny Manziel other than Johhny actually played in the Canadian Football league. I bet he will pull a Krapinneck stunt also when he fails in the NFL and cries racism.

Seeing varying opinions on what it would cost Washington to move up one spot, does seem that you would get at least a second-round pick, and if you do not like Williams you may as well pick up an extra early pick or two and then draft whatever QB you have on top of your board.

Funny that you mention racism, when the very quarterback you love did that at Georgia so he could transfer to Ohio State.

Johnny Football was (is?) an alcoholic, who by his own admission, did zero work trying to understand the playbook or study film.

If that’s Williams’ profile, I’d agree the Bears shouldn’t draft him.

You and your fellow Williams cultists are moving on from Krapinneck. I get it. Williams is another entitled spoiled rotten quarterback from a PAC TEN diploma mill who underachieves in their chosen sport and then has its underachieving athletes looking for bag boy jobs and hoping for an acting gig on a local soap opera. I wonder how soon Williams will blame white coaches for his failures to succeed. He already has blamed his coaching staff for not promoting him enough and if he slips in the draft he will surely blame the white privilege of the NFL. Wait for it.

Its amazing what you don't know about Justin Fields. I guess that you didn't know that he played baseball at Georgia and was singled out by a player on the baseball team who yelled from the stands to "PUT THE "N" in while Fields was backing up the starting qb in the game. While the baseball player was cut from the team quickly, this did play an additional factor why he transferred to Ohio State. Fields didn't blame the Georgia football coaching staff for his decision.

But yet his sister stayed in school at that same Georgia institution, you old fuck I know plenty about the situation.

But I pray you get your wish and Fields remains your quarterback, as a Packers fan I will enjoy the fact that we will continue to kick the shit out of the Bears.

You do not factor in any realization of how BAD the offense talent was his first year, especially the offensive line and receivers. Then it also ignores the time it took to replace the buttholes with even average level talent. Any insight into that?
