Take the best player available. If thats a QB, great. If not, great. You dont draft a QB first just because you need one. The Bears need MANY other positions as well.

This is how you end up never drafting quarterbacks.

There is no QB in this draft worth the number #3 pick or even close to the 3 pick. Draft a qb in the 2nd or 3rd round.

I think depends on who the BPA is, if it is between a position player and a QB, I still take the QB.

No pick, even a quarterback, is a guarantee of a lock. I noticed you never actually answered my question. I will however answer yours. Baltimore and the Giants "reached" for a quarterback in the first round.

Now go ahead and list off all of the model franchises you wish the Bears would be like. Then tell me who is calling plays for them and the round in which that quarterback was drafted. lol indeed.

Claims Eli Manning and Joe Flacco -both projected 1st rounders- were reaches. Then claims I didn't answer his question after I name 3 franchises I have respect for that didn't reach for QB's when they couldn't afford to and found success lmao

I've said multiple times they should draft a qb with a first round grade in the first round.

Wait a minute? The three franchises you wish the Bears were like are the Patriots, Packers, and Colts?

Two of them did exactly what I want and drafted a qb in the first round with a consensus first round grade. The other is one of the most shocking stories in sports history. Also the Colts kind of suck.

You are done.

It's probably worth the risk.

The value up there is defense and you could get a guy like Allen but I think you need to stick your neck out.

I do like Kizer. I'd be OK with it but I sure don't think it's a sure thing.

Time to go for it. He will be a great backup for Fales.

What do you like about him Dr?

I watch clips of him and I see bad mechanics and footwork. Not a very smooth throwing motion.

What does he do better than the kid from NC?

I think (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky will go before him. 2nd pick.

Kizer's physical skills are impressive. You're betting on the upside. At least you're starting with unique skills. Worth a shot.

I'll predict the top 6 picks in order just for the hell of it.

Not even sure which teams will make them.

1. Garrett
2. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky
3. Kizer
4. Allen
5. Fournette
6. Peppers

Anyone want to disagree with me that Fournette is far and away the best player of those 6?

I think the answer is probably.

Not sure how all the tiebreakers workout but I think that is what happens from what I've seen.

Quote:
The 49ersclinched an easier strength of schedule than the Bears. The Bears have clinched an easier strength of schedule than the Jaguars. And the Rams have clinched an easier schedule than the Bears.

So if the 49ers and Bears tie on three wins, the 49ers would pick second and the Bears would pick third.

I was right about Howard. You seemed to agree with that one.

Let's see where things are after the Combine.

I don't doubt your knowledge, Howard is a beast. I will laugh my nutz off if those 2 QB's go top 5~ I wouldn't take either in the top 20...you could be right, but both teams will be regretting it, I'm hoping for peppers.

I'm just now reading the past couple pages. It's hilarious that One Post is still spewing the propaganda that "Cutler tore up the best defenders in the NFL". Some people are really impressed by a 87 QB rating I guess.

I'm not claiming those are the top 6 guys. I just think that's what could happen.

Too much QB/athlete love. Happens every year.
