We cannot wait for that Gate party again.

No, they all require a 2 night stay. Look around Appleton maybe.

I have stayed in that aLoft.

$700 for a room that looks like a luxury prison cell? GTFO.

The roach motel gets $500 a night when the Packers are playing, just the way it is.

Yeah there was some stuff like 25 miles away. Probably head to the Gate after the game and wait a few hours to Uber. It took over an hour to get out of the area anyway last year.

I like Alofts. Staying in one now by ORD.

He did not come off well to me but clearly some of you think different

Yeah, the Hilton properties around Appleton/Kimberly are available for a single night and not outrageous (the Home2Suites is just $111.00 for Sunday night). If it's a noon game you can hit Dick and Joan's Supper Club or the Stone Arch Brew Pub for dinner and drinks.

Great ideas. I am pretty sure we’ll be toast and not in any condition for dinner.

Green Bay is more like a D1 NCAA Football city. Any Hotels they have live off of Packer home games. I can't speak for other college teams, but Iowa City pulls the same shit for home games. You can't get a room for under $700 / night. It sucks.

By the way, first time for most of us getting a look at the remodeled Halas Hall. It’s a beautiful facility. Ryan Pace got this done.

That weight room is unreal. Eberflus’s office is huge. Poles gets to watch practice from his office window. Very nice.

Back to how Poles dresses. Don’t knock him for being in shorts during training camp. It’s 90 degrees every day. He’s on the field watching for 3 hours. You expect him to be in a suit? Cmon. Every gm in the nfl dresses like him for training camp.

Warren’s dumb ass should be in a suit as he wanders around Halas hall all day doing nothing of substance. And he is.

Yarn doesn't seem to be working from me on desktop for the last few weeks.

But really: MANY people would be surprised at the goofy shit they buy when handed a $24MM bonus check. Let the kid enjoy the finer things.

I watched it live on Prime. Lots of DJ Moore and family. Rome looks like a balck version of his mom.

Once again, boring.

I know they have better stuff. George McCaskey isn't allowing the good stuff. Notice there is zero swearing. C'mon, this is an NFL training camp. You know they swear like mother fuckers. George told HBO not show any of it as he's a devout Catholic.

I still think HBO can produce this better even with the restrictions. A lot of slow drawn out stuff of nothingness.

Great episode. Shame it took 75 minutes for HBO to get it on Max.

I have a theory for why Velus Jones Jr has stuck around for 3 years. They kept him just so we can all celebrate when he gets cut in a later episode of Hard Knocks because damn does he still suck.

:) The Ian Wheeler vs Velus Jones roster battle is quite the juxtaposition. A guy who got acccpeted to medical school vs a guy who is most likely clinically retaarded.

It's going to make it that much sweeter when Wheeler wins out vs Jones. I'm pretty sure any random board member would be better at fielding a kick than him.

That episode was so boring. Who cares about the 4th string QB. Going to the history of ice cream. No substance, nothing interesting. Did George McCaskey have final Cut? Boring boring boring

Fell asleep right at the start of the bills game footage. This is really really really boring so far. I said it earlier, they'd be much more compelling as the in season hard knocks team, documenting the ups and downs of Caleb's season. Hard knocks training camp should be focused on teams with coaches and gm on hot seat heading into the season

Ames is the same. Just did a quick sample. The "ultra-luxurious" Best Western is $329-$349 for Saturday night in October, on game days. The off week in between, it's $135.
