I'll just point out once again that this thread was created so if Miller Moss was a Heisman finalist playing in the CFP it would be used as yet another reason why Williams isn't going to be a good NFL QB because he was a system quarterback.

Now that it went the complete opposite, Miller Moss was benched and is now transferring out and USC went 6-6 it was just an informational post and it is no longer "Extremely Pertinent and Relevant" and the thread is going to struggle to make it to 6 pages.

The only person who said anything about Heisman in the thread is Brick. Who enjoys setting up straw men arguments so he can knock em down. No kink shame here. Knock yerself out with the masturbatory posting. Carry on my wayward son.

What was your point about how well Moss performed in the bowl game and then the first two games of this season then?

It's right there in the 2nd post in this thread,

Hussra wrote:

Is Miller Moss that good? Or is Caleb Williams that bad.

We'll see how Moss does in his first start in a true road-game today against Michigan. Wins over Louisville and LSU both neutral site games.

That doesn't sound like someone sold on Miller Moss as a Heisman candidate.

You edited out the context prior to it where you discussed how amazing he was in the bowl game last year and how he is continuing to play that well this year.

But the answer to your question is that Caleb Williams is FAR SUPERIOR to Miller Moss. I guess Caleb Williams was that good.

Still though, if you think I'm creating a straw man because of my figurative "Heisman candidate" point then can you explain what you and Dr. Style were getting at with this post in the Bears section about the guy who replaced Caleb Williams and threw 6 touchdowns in the bowl game? It seems to me it was that Caleb Williams isn't that good because his replacement was better than him at USC. Well, that seemed to change quickly. So, wouldn't the opposite be true? Caleb Williams made USC much better than they were.

I edited out the hype-train talk about Miller Moss after I realized you were such a Miller Moss fan-boy that you alone among the posters in this thread expected him to win the Heisman. I figured in typical fan-boy style you'd only read the hype and ignore the counter-points made immediately after

Yes, I presented the hype surrounding Miller Moss at the time...and then immediately poked holes in the hype, like so

Quote:
Is Miller Moss that good? Or is Caleb Williams that bad.

We'll see how Moss does in his first start in a true road-game today against Michigan. Wins over Louisville and LSU both neutral site games.

Pretty clear I did not buy into the early season Miller Moss hype--noting that his signature wins came in neutral site games and everyone should slow their roll and wait and see how he did in his first real road game test.

Sounds like you did buy into the Miller Moss hype; you're the only person here who expected him to win the Heisman, as you posted. Sorry to hear that. Are you upset Miller Moss didn't win the Heisman like you apparently expected him to.

What was the point of talking about Miller Moss in the Bears section and how much better(at the time) he was playing than Caleb Williams? It's a simple question. Instead, you are deflecting about me pointing out that if Moss was a Heisman finalist you and Dr. Style would be all over this thread talking about how it means that Williams isn't very good.

Can you at least acknowledge that Caleb Williams at USC elevated his team far better than Miller Moss did? It turns out that USC was as successful as it was because of Caleb Williams since his immediate backup quickly failed to the point he was benched and now is transferring?

It's funny that even Dr. Style has dropped out of this thread but Hussra continues the fight.

I never said you said he was a Heisman candidate.

I was pointing out that if Miller Moss had a great season you would be talking about what it means about Caleb Williams.

You still have yet to explain the point of why Miller Moss matters in regards to Caleb Williams and why you were so fixated on his bowl game performance and then the early season results.

Brick you're sounding rather silly here. But then again you're used to it. If anything you should have been chomping at the bit for"Whatabout Miller Moss" to be that dude. Particularly given the fact that he was able to play well against the sort of teams that Caleb could not.

It's simple McCarver. Miller Moss passed for 6 Tds and defeated the sort of team that "Generational Talent" Caleb could not. Thus if "Whatabout Miller Moss" is a bum, then what does that make Caleb Williams? Just Asking A Question

Huh? At what point did Miller Moss stop being "Extremely Pertinent and Relevant"? Was it when he was benched?

The Doctor Of Style wrote:

You do love QBs that get benched it seems.

Miller Moss went 4-5 with USC this year. 5-5 overall. He went 2-5 his last 7 games. I'm told QB wins is a very important stat.

Williams is far better than Miller Moss. Moss got benched for losing to the types of teams that Williams beat.

We know exactly what it was. Moss being good means it was the team and not Williams with success. It turns out USC isn't a good team and Williams made them much better.

It's sad how desperate you are on this.

Has Brick ever bothered to mention that "Whatabout Miller Moss" also had the misfortune of participating in a much tougher conference this season than Generational Talent Caleb? Just Asking A Question

There you go again, bringing the Heisman into the Miller Moss conversation.

Where in that post you quoted do I say anything about Heisman candidacy?

I get it, you're upset that Miller Moss failed to live up to your early season expectations that he'd be a Heisman candidate. Don't give up hope, there's always next season.

This is a further indictment of "Generational Talent" Caleb. The point totals in his last 6 six games in college were extremely "pedestrian" for someone billed to be a "Generational Talent". And actually not to different than the point totals accrued by "Whatabout Miller Moss" if we're being honest. Which you never are around here
