Regardless of how good or bad you think he is, it is time for the Bears to move on from him after the season ends? Try and trade him but if that doesn't work then just release him.

He may be an all-pro at his next destination but it just isn't working with the Bears and they need a fresh start with a younger quarterback who may suck but may not be average at best.

Aside from ownership, there has been one constant over the past 6 seasons of misery, and it has diabeetus.

Yes. Cut him today. I don't really care, I'm over everything. Fuck this team.

Mr Hank is a wise man.

The Bears could come out in an hour and say that "we forfeit every game the rest of the season," and it would not bother me in the least.

Cutler just needs some pieces around him. Give him an quality o-line, pro-bowl RB, and 2-3 pro-bowl receivers and he'll blossom.

He had that in Trestman's first season and they went 8-8.

Fire everyone. Not just terminate their employment, light them on fire.

Them missing the playoffs that year was 100% on the defense, and Trestman kicking a 45 yard FG on 2nd down in overtime.

Kirkwood with a joke that I've only read about 12 times this morning.

When we look back at Cutler's tenure in Chicago, it will be laughable. It's like the Dark Ages.

It's funny to hear out of town analysts still reference the "tools" Cutler has. We know... we've been waiting for him to use them for almost a decade. The guy doesn't have the mental makeup to be a QB, a leader, or even just a calming, consistent presence on offense. He's a mental train wreck. And his the offense's futility over the past few years has almost certainly hurt the defense's performance.

He's laughing all the way to the bank, though.

Pray for a playoff contending QB to go down in season and trade him

One did barely 2 weeks ago. Pace should have been on the phone with the Vikings before Bridgewater's ambulance even got to the ER.

Vikings didn't want to be 0-2

I remember where I was when Cutler got traded. There was hope and optimism that we just got a superstar qb before he even got a chance to hit his prime. I was beyond excited for this. I ran out and bought a Cutler jersey and couldn't wait for the season to begin. Then we played Green Bay and 4 interceptions later the Cutler era began.

I also remember where I was when news broke that he had signed the 7 year contract. You don't forget when horrible shit happens like that in your life. :?

100% spot on.

I can't remember who said it - maybe OB or Doug a couple of years ago in postgame? - "Cutler never has been or ever will be a leader. You're expecting him to become something he never will be and can't be."
(I'm paraphrasing.)

there is no magic QB out there that will fix this. the o-line can't block. Ryan Pace gave a bunch of money to massey who cannot block anyone and who's previous coach was excited by how much improved his right side of the line was without the two losers the bears signed (larsen/massey). Ryan Pace drafted two measurable guys (White and floyd) who right now dont know how to play football. If they want to move on from Cutler after the season it makes sense to me but perhaps we are still burdened with a GM that doesnt know what he is doing. Until the bears start hitting on high draft picks the team is going to stink. and on floyd, what really pisses me off besides the lack of production in college is the fact he's already 24 years old and cant play

If i had a son i would train him to be an nfl qb from his first day of birth

You only need legs and half an arm to get a job

Brian Paruch announces the Bears have traded for Jay Cutler on everyone's favorite afternoon show.

Cut Cutler, give Connor Shaw the job and draft a QB (since they passed on Dak Prescott 3 times).

It makes absolutely no difference at this point.

I'm sorry...there is no "ASIDE" for the ownership. Ownership is the problem for the Bears...PERIOD.

They haven't won anything since 85...and didn't win anything for decades prior to that. The Mccaskey family is utterly incompetent and I don't believe they truly have a desire to lead a team...or win anything in today's NFL. They'll just sit back and let the money flow to them...and make the random GM & coaching changes to keep the fans interested. It's sad. Cutler sucks too....but you have the Mccaskeys and sweaty Teddy "leading" this mess. The Bears franchise could/should be power brokers in today's NFL...and they basically have no voice.

I have tried so hard to defend that bag of cocks but I just can't any longer. He is a shitty, fucking, quarterback and I hope he suffers a career-ending injury so he can get the fuck out of here.

Stupid, dumb motherfucker. Pernell McPhee should have punched his lights out after that interception.

The fumble was worse for me. It was a standard sack that he saw coming from a mile away. 99 out of 100 other QBs either throw that ball away or take the sack and live to fight another day.

Seconded. Someone set Virginia McCaskey on fire, then liquidate her bloodline, and disinter Halas, load him on a rocket and shoot it into the sun. This team needs new ownership that gives a fuck. No more of this nepotism and nostalgia for GSH. Fuck the McCaskeys with a hot iron.

The #Bears are preparing for a lengthy absence for QB Jay Cutler, source said. Now it's a matter of how to fix (surgery or not) his thumb.
