When the Bears vanquished the mighty Saints to end a 20+ year drought and make it to the Super bowl? Many of you didn't remember the Bears ever playing for the championship. Given the popularity of football I assume most of you broke down weeping and ran to the graves of your family members the next day overcome with emotion. Or maybe you just turned on the television.

I was at the game, and I did cry. So did many around me.

I love it when I see Billy Crystal in his little Yankees cap telling everyone what a fan he is and suffering through a season when they don't win it all.

Fuck him,Cub fans have had real torment. Now the 10,000 lb. boulder has been lifted...4 more games.

Even a football thread quickly turns to baseball!

I didn't cry in 2005 either.

I thought it was pretty cool, and relished ESPN getting it so wrong. Then I missed most of the Super Bowl.

I didn't cry but something got into my eyes that made them tear up not long after the Sox won.

I drank a beer, then went to the SUB and read a book. I was in Bozeman at the time. I did fly back in for the Super Bowl.

I still remember the feeling when Hester returned the kick for a touchdown in the Super Bowl. If they had won it probably would have gone down as one of my all time favorite sports moments. It was something like "Oh my god, we may actually have a chance".

I was more excited for Drew Brees winning a Super Bowl than I was for 2005. JORR is wrong again.

I still remember Reggie Bush styling on Urlacher on his way to somersaulting into the end zone.

And the Bears defense being like 'nope' for the rest of the game.
