Pretty simple concept here, who would have making 'fire Ryan Pace RIGHT DAMN NOW' threads if you hear their name called with the Bears 1st pick?

For me it's Nelson or McGlinchy (sp). With Nelson I don't think he'll be a bad player, but I feel you can get guards that can come right in and play at a high level in later rounds. I'd rather they try to get an impact player at a skill position with that 1st pick.

So, who's -NOT- your guy?

I don't want a defender and I REALLY don't want a defensive back.

In the 1st round I don't want

An offensive lineman NOT named Nelson
Any Saftey
Mincah Fitzpatrick (Jack of all trades master of none)
Roquan Smith - Belongs in a 4-3 scheme.
Veta Vea

That's about it.

But seriously, no safety. We're good there.

There will come a point when the risk of drafting Arden Key matches the level of investment. This is not in the second round. However, if he is there in the 4th he could be worth it.

The Bears will never take a risk on a guy like that after McDonald. It's stupid, but I guess the one time Pace decided to learn a lesson it was then.

You do realize he won SEC DPOY and the Butkus award out of a base 3-4 defense, right?
