The Panthers have been in recent contact with the Bears regarding Cam Newton, per source. The expectation is Newton will be released in the coming days, but CHI may not want to compete in the market for him

-----------------

Do not like it. Would rather go for Winston.

More smokescreen bullshit. They're going to trade for Chase Daniel.

The takes! My god the takes after a Cam Newton Bears loss would be legendary! Cam would be eaten alive in Chicago. He'll sign with Jacksonville or some other small market turd team.

Hard not to agree. Cam is soft and whiny.

Say what you will about Mitch, but he's not soft and whiny. Jay Cutler was just a little surly and people hated him.

Bears need somebody who can be above it all. Who can laugh when others cry. Jameis Winston is that guy.

Would beg to disagree on Mitch. Criticism clearly got to him this year. Remember the ban on TV or whatever in the locker room. Then when the team bent over backwards to praise him and express confidence in him after he put together some of the worst performances we've ever seen from a QB in Chicago. He's soft as hell.

Would Mack, Robinson, and next years 1st and 2nd be enough to pry Chase away from the Lions?

Pace reportedly doesn't think that's enough to get the deal done.

I would love a healthy Cam and I would instantly make him the starter.

Not a big sandwich guy huh?

Anyways.. I only like this if the Bears aren’t dumb enough to give up insane amounts of picks to do it (like a 1st next year or some shit). If the cost is fair I say why not.. but it’s the dipshit Bears and we already know Pace will trade up 1 spot in the draft to pass on one of the greatest QB’s of all time..

Carolina's going to wind up releasing him, I'd bet.
