I'm thinking the bears win a close game so I like Giants getting 5.5 on the road.
I honestly don't think the Bears defense is better than Pittsburgh given they allowed 23 to Detroit given the Swift drop and not having Golliday.
So I like the Bears moneyline and Giants +5.5.

5.5 is always the evil line in the NFL

Have to factor the Giants are playing on the road on a short week.

Jones looked every bit as bad as Mitch yesterday and their line stinks.

If the Bears are even a decent team, they should win handily. I would never bet them as that big a favorite with Mitch at QB

Think the Bears played NYG last year and the spread was right around this same range.. might've been 6. Won 19-14.

I think they roll next Sunday, though. The Bears are worlds better than the Giants.

Yeah... the week before Thanksgiving.
I dont think the bears defense is as good as they were last year. I'm not sure its close.

I don't think the defense is as bad as it looked last week though, either. I mean, AP average 6.5 YPC. Defense will be ready to go, and Mack & Co. will be everywhere. This Giants O-Line stinks, too.

Dunno what to tell you, then. Bears pass rush will be everywhere against a bad Giants OL, and Mitch should be able to find 'open men' against this porous NYG secondary. I'll go 27-14 Bears.

Seems you like the under as well. I think its 42.5 currently.

Yeah. I mean, Pit-NYG didn't even go over 42.5 last night.

Nagy's horrendous play-calling should be sufficient to keep this game close.

Bud Dupree looked like Mack from 3 years ago.

Right. This and the porous defense against the Lions spooks me on that 5.5.
Heres what I think my play is.
Giants +5.5 (I'm hoping bears money moves that up a bit before I buy.)
Bears moneyline.
Under 42.5

I think 4.5 is the basement. Maybe 4. Will not go below 4. If it does, sign me up

Bears won't cover. Giants are better this year...they hung in there with a very good Steelers team.

As a longtime Giants fan who has suffered some in recent years, I saw some things Monday night that gave me hope. Their ability to pass block and protect Jones in the pocket made me feel a little better than in years past. That said their run blocking was abysmal and they didn't move ANYONE off the ball all night long. I thought Jones basically picked the Steelers secondary apart for a good portion of the game. If he gets time to set up in the pocket I think he really showed an ability to deliver strikes. The downside were obviously the interceptions. I think the Watt interception was a great play by Watt more than a true mistake by Jones but obviously Watt was staring him down and knew it was coming so Jones needs to be craftier than that. The interception on the goal line was unforgivable, you have to either get rid of it sooner or eat it and take the sack, that was horrible. I saw the reverse angle of that play and he did have a receiver coming open on the back of the end zone so he wasn't actually trying to force it into a group of 5 Steelers like it appeared on the replay so i think he had the right idea he just held on to it way to long waiting for it to develop and made a terrible mistake. The giants defense was terrible BUT I will give them credit in a couple areas - they did show an ability to rush the passer with 4 linemen somewhat regularly and Dexter Lawrence is developing into a pretty damn good inside presence on the d-line. Blake Martinez is a massive upgrade at LB and if it weren't for him several of Snell's runs would have gone for much larger gains. Martinez is fast. The secondary and outside LB's are pitiful. They are going to get wrecked by the better offenses in this league. Bradberry made a couple nice pass defenses but he also got schooled badly by Juju on one of his touchdowns. And I know this doesn't mean much but I really loved the way they didn't give up. Judge and Garrett seemed to have the team fighting until the end and even scoring that TD with a couple minutes left to possibly make it a 1-score game (they missed the 2-pointer so it really didnt end up mattering) felt good, and the hurry-up offense looked pretty crisp.

Its gonna be another losing season for the Giants, but it was an improvement. I think they can give the Bears a game but honestly I think just about anyone can cut up the back of the Giants defense so if i was betting my money i'd take the Bears to cover that spread.

Jones is better than Mitch. His flaws can largely be attributed to playing the best defense in the nfl.

Pound the giants this weekend. They win straight up 23-17

Jones has less protection than a wet kleenex.

Their line is not good but it will look better this week against a much less formidable front 7 in the Bears

Yeah... i disagree there. This giants offensive line is precisely what the bears eat for lunch in the 1st half and shit out in the second. This is the game that convinces the twats that the defense is pretty good... until they play... someone else.

That’s amusing. We’ll see I guess.

Mack should be 100% or close to it, will have Quinn also.

Idk what season is over means but you’re delusional if you ever thought this team could compete with GB this year

The Bears defensive line--including Mack and Hicks--did nothing against a fairly weak Detroit offensive line.

Will the addition of a hobbled Quinn tangibly improve their play?

It's also important to note that the absence of Eddie Goldman significantly weakens the run defense, as the Detroit game began to demonstrate. I expect things to get worse against the Giants.

In all fairness TM, Hicks had a HUGE sack, and they ran away from him most of the game.

That's true about the sack, but Hicks was nevertheless MIA for most of the game. Detroit didn't seem to have trouble running up the middle, a problem that will likely be amplified against the Giants.
