Bucs seem to be a carbon copy of the Colts, which didn't work out well for the beloved. Bucs are likely down a few key pieces and the Bears match up pretty well with their style of receivers. The defense really wasn't the problem anyway against the Colts. Bucs are nowhere near as good as the Colts across the OL so the front four needs to get pressure on Brady. I think this is another game played in the teens.

Bears 17
Bucs 16

Real swing game for the Bears. I could see the season going into the crapper after the Colts game. So a rebound here would speak to the character of the players and their belief in Nagy’s coaching.

My guess is the season is straight down from here.

The Bears 3 offensive coordinators still can't find a way to put 20 on the board.

And 5 QB coaches, per Biggs. (Nagy, Lazor, Ragone, Defillipo, and Burris.)

I think 24-13 sounds about right.

Eh, Trubinsky is only capable of getting out of holes he himself creates.

Everything says Brady kills Bears. Thursdays are always a problem with rational football thought. Nagy comes up with some surprises to jump out ahead and the defense holds on until the end. Also, Ariens too risky.

Bears 28
Bucs 24

While the Bears are certainly a mess, I don't buy that this Bucs team is good yet either.

Montgomery and the O-line thrash the Bucs for 17 yards on 47 carries.

Bears have held every team they have faced below their season averages for points scored

The Bears could easily lose the next 7 games.

TB - Loss
Carolina - probably a loss
Rams - Loss
Saints - Loss
Titans - Loss
Minn - maybe a win.
BYE
GB - most def. a loss.

So, that's either 3-8 or 5-6. This team blows.

If there is anymore than a 3 game losing streak I think Nagy has to be launched.

Pace too.

I see things along the same lines.

Brady will find the soft spots in the Bears defense, and the offense will struggle to score once again.

It would be nice if we could have a Khalil Mack sighting when Brady drops back to pass. He has 10 sacks in the past 20 games.

Bucs 24
Bears 17

Ans Bucs were losing before Brady got all Brady. Brady will not like Mack and Quinn.

grass is always greener. You are overrating other teams and underrating the Bears. Carolina is probably a win. None of those games are automatic losses going in.

I'm not very optimistic, but these Thursday games tend to be a total crapshoot. The Panthers are terrible. Who knows what COVID has done or will do the Titans roster. And an extra week to prepare for GB you never know, though Nagy is 0-2 with two shitfuck games coming out of the bye.

Anyway, I don't think the Bears are very good, but they aren't bad enough to have an 8 game losing streak either.

The Bucs are the 2nd best defense against the run. Could be a long day for the Bears offensive line and run game.

When is it not? We've had three notable rushers in the past 20 years of play:

Anthony Thomas
Thomas Jones
Matt Forte

That's it.
