You still think Dalton starts if he's fully healthy?
Granted, this was a game against the Lions who are doodoo in general. But Fields made some really nice deep throws and gained some confidence and more importantly some experience.
Is it time to commit to getting Fields experience and get that game slowing down in his head?

I'm guessing they will start Fields because he played well at times today and Nagy will see what he can do against better competition. Sink or swim.

There is no doubt in my mind Nagy would start Dalton

I hope you're wrong but I suspect you aren't.

I thought yesterday was the turning point of moving on to the future.

I would start Fields. Nagy will start Dalton.

I am all in on Fields. He showed enough for him to start as long as he is able. I cannot wait until his QB clock is really working and is able to do thing like Rus with his legs.

I would still go with Dalton. The Bears will be without Montgomery and maybe Williams. That isn't a great position for an inexperienced quarterback.

That is just what Nagy said he would do too.

Nagy is trying to win games to save his job. The future is Fields. Even if the Bears got lucky and snuck into the playoffs, they aren't a Super Bowl contender.

Fields should be playing every chance he gets.

Frank is correct, but Nagy is worried about right now. Dalton will start if healthy.

I don't think it's a given that playing Fields is better for his long-term development. If yesterday looked anything close to the Browns game on offense, then you absolutely don't want to put him out there again, just because. Since yesterday certainly looked better I don't have as much of a problem sticking with him though. Yes, he had tons of time, but on every one of those long throws he hit the receivers in stride.
