After that return, who else was certain the Bears were going to win that game? :(

Also white guy, #43 Matt Giordano was FAST. Almost got him.

What's weird is punt rules are the same, but it seems like punt return TDs are down as well. I haven't fact checked that.

Bears should have won this game too. Thomas Jones was running his ass off, Manning looked rattled early, Hester did his thing to immediately give the Bears momentum.. and then in the rain.. the Bears decide to let Grossman throw it left and right.. while Jones was looking like he was poised for a huge game.

I’ll never understand it. Not ever. Coaching lost that game.. as did Grossmans raccoon hands

And think of this.. 2 of our top 3 defenders that year weren’t in that game in Mike Brown and Tommie Harris. Imagine if the Bears had those 2 out there 100% healthy

Urlacher, Tommie Harris, Mike Brown, Lance Briggs, Charles Tillman.. that was a helluva defense that year

Yes. It was perfect. Encapsulated the season.

It felt like the culmination of a season like the ‘85 Bears.

Then things changed.

I said this after that game and I’ll say it now -

If the bears started Brian Gresie that game instead of Grossman , the Bears would have lost only by 3.
