Having the first pick, it would be hard not to draft him.

The bidding starts at three numbers ones and two number twos.

Yup. Much better prospect than Fields.

Let the bidding war for Fields commence.

Draft Bryce and trade Fields to the Jets for Quinnen Williams, pick #13, and anything else they can get.

LOL at the team that gives up 3 first rounders for fields.

No for the number one pick in the next draft. No one is giving up much for Fields.

Draft Young and trade Fields to SF for Deebo, Kittle, McCaffrey and their next 6 first rounders.

I like him too. Got killed for suggesting the Bears should at least consider it a couple weeks ago.

That said, I really think they should trade back. It’s possible they can trade back twice using the spot they’re in now. If they stay where they are Young will be stuck with nothing around him. Fields has at least shown he can make plays and carry the team (as he did for a several game stretch where the Bears were scoring large amounts).. this is a very unique position they’re in right now to acquire a ton of assets in a short amount of tine with their cap space and now #1 overall draft pick capital.

And that’s tempting too

I think you are in the position JAcksonville was a couple years ago. I think you gamble and take the QB.

Trevor was a ‘can’t miss’ prospect tho.. Young is good, but his ceiling isn’t ‘can’t miss’.. I’d agree if say, Lawrence was coming out this year. Then yeah, go for it. But Young has some questions..

poor Jets fans. Entire generation has grown to adulthood with these guys as their quarterbacks:

it doesn't get much better before 2000...

And now y'all wanna saddle em with the fool's gold of a running QB who can't cut it in the NFL passing game.

He's listed at 6'. So he's probably 5'10".

I wouldn’t even think about taking an Alabama QB with the #1 pick. If he is the consensus #1 you have to trade it. There has to be several teams willing to overpay.

Trade the pick for the boatload. Young or Stroud ain’t worth #1 overall.

Bears scouting staff must master obfuscation. There has to be a threat they will take a qb

Trading Fields will help with that.

As compared to having an OSU QB as our future?

Someone will trade up, it won’t be the Texans. Somebody desperate enough will trade for that pick

I do not get the love for Young. Nice college QB, but I dont think he will be that great in the NFL.

That’s a draft day move to maximize return

Agreed.

There is no great QB in this class - at least not a sure-fire hit which is too bad. But the Bears can make it seem like there is one.

Keep Fields, trade the pick, build the lines.

This is a draft that they cannot screw up. They can do it but they have to get it right.

This could be a great team in 2 years if they do their homework.

Yep. You trade down and get either Anderson or Carter with their first pick and get another 1st rounder later that you can use to address the OL.

It’s so funny that the likely avenue to greatness is a great defense and run game

He has made enough wow throws to me to show he can do it, I just don't think Fields will ever throw it good enough to win a Super Bowl.

I am not sold on Fields at all but the future needs to be getting as many picks as possible to build both lines and find a few receivers.

He might not have to. He can run it better than half the running backs in the league.

On top of the wow throws.

Fields is without question the best football player the Bears have had since Urlacher, and MANY are ready to throw the baby out with the bath water tomorrow. It's absolutely insane.
