I don't believe Poles will be able to sit back and wait for 53. I think he moves up. Who's a team above them in need of more picks?

I would be perfectly happy if they spent the entire day on o/d lineman. Edge, 3T, C.

I thought he should have moved back into the first round for Smith. There were some first round reaches that may all him to stay a 53. I would be surprised if he didn't trade back with 64.

Keon White (we don't see color here) would be a really nice get. There are a few of those workout warriors on the board, like Ade.

I'm targeting Tuipulotu as someone who will reasonably be there.

I love Washington, and think you may be right about staying put.

Two of the three picks tonight should be spent on defensive linemen.

Not sure where he picks a center, experts all say it is a weak draft at that position, but Whitehair is not the long term solution so may as well plug in a guy that can start for the next five years and let him develop with the rest of your very young offensive line.

If they come out of tonight with 3 of these guys, I will be excited.

Derick Hall
Darnell Washington
Isaiah Foskey
Joe Tippmann
Cam Smith
Tuli Tuipulotu
BJ Ojular
Siaki Ika
Keion White

Some talented CBs and TE's slid a bit, but they likely only move up if a DT or DE they really like is still there.

How many spots in the 2nd round could you move up if you package #53 with the 4th rounder next year you got from Philly?

Have to think they would like to get Adebawore or Benton at DT and White or Foskey at DE, but may need to move up at few slots.

We've talked about the Claypool trade costing a 1st round pick. Technically, it's a day 2 pick. So depending on how look at it, Poles already made his first second round pick. 53 would be his second day 2 selection. Do you like Claypool at 33 or whatever it is?

this was said at the time of the trade but I think it's been reaffirmed by what actually happened, Claypool is better than any of the WR available with this pick. That doesn't mean I wouldn't like to have it back.

I am very confident one of the WRs left, probably multiple of them, will have better careers than Claypool. He's bad.

It was a better trade when the thinking was the Bears would have the 9th pick or so in the 2nd round.

All I see are role playing wr on the board. Maybe Hiatt or Tillman.

My guy is Trey Palmer from Nebraska but I don't think he will be better

My guy is Tyler Scott or Tank Dell, I agree with your assessment of the WRs left, but I'd still say role playing WR is better than a WR who is not good at any role.

I could see them trading up in the second round but only as much as that 2024 4th they got from Philly will get them.

Get a center and at least one quality DL today. That’s all I’m hoping for.

No thanks. I cant imagine what it would cost to move up that far. Who would they be targeting?

That would cost 2 of their 3 picks from tonight and maybe another pick next year.

I'd like to see them take Porter Jr., but if the Steelers end up getting 2 second rounds picks from the Bears out of that Claypool trade I'll laugh my ass off.

I think Center should be the priority because in theory you could fix the entire O-line picking one of the top C’s in this draft to go along with what the Bears have already acquired. There’s no other player at any other position that offers that kind of value from here on out.

So, Center is where I hope they’re focused 1st. And I do think they’ll need to trade up to do it. Let’s just hope they don’t give up too much, Poles has already shown to be iffy on trades imo

Solid pass rusher but gets absolutely crushed on run plays.. I’m not totally against him being picked but I think there could be better options at D-line in the 2nd

I like BJ Ojulari too.. he’d be a great 2nd day pick if the Bears went that direction (I’d take Tippman 1st tho)

The media hasn't beat Poles up for the Eagles trade. It would have almost been better just getting Wright at 9. That trade should have given the Bears capital from this draft to use for trades.
