He would be the best QB in Bears history. Those are facts.

Holy shit Bob! Ever heard of Sid Luckman?

But I'm stoked about Caleb and have no doubt by Mid season he will be on par with the better QB's in the NFL

But would Sid have been as successful in this era? Which begs the question: Could anyone in any major sport play, and dominate in THIS era? I say hell yes.

forget about baseball players as there's just too many to list. Ruth, Gherig, Cobb,
Hack Wilson and Hornby, to name a few.

But in Football: Jim Thorp. Speed, power and endurance no man since ccould equal.

Basketball: The "great" Bill Russel would not dominate in this era. Maybe not even make a team. My top 3 are Wilt, Elgin Baylor and Bob Pettit.

I would say that Oscar and West would be stars in any era also.

Nobody who played in the '60's would be all stars today. Watch the videos. Barely could dribble. Bricklayers. Clanked it all night long.

Kareem would not see the floor. Can't make threes.

This is incoherent considering Wilt went 4-8 against Russell in the Finals. Pretty strange for a guy who couldn't make a team to successfully guard one of the three best ever.

Ahem....Mr Grandpa

1971 against the Lakers they gave out regulation size basketballs to kids. I remember they were orange and faux autographed. Every kid in the joint was dribbling around in the corners of the Barn. Probably just as well as the plumbers and firemen on the floor.

Dipsy Doo!

You all were gentlemen and scholars. Those balls would be on the court today. They would have to postpone the game.

they need to bring back double-nickel beer and mini-bat night at the ballpark

$0.10 in 1974 = $0.66 in 2024

It wasn’t black and white but I damn sure remember rabbit ears. Also, putting aluminum foil on them so it would help reception.
