Which is what Herbstreit proclaimed on MNF and got scolded for. It was obvious that he'd heard it from a credible source within the Bears org.

It is obvious from the clueless way Caleb comes into every game.

People blame coaches but if you are unable to hold a guy publicly accountable and the media & fans will make excuses for him no matter how poorly he plays and benching him is totally out of the question, then what can you do? That’s a real question. How do you hold the first overall pick accountable for things like the Patriots or Seahawks disasters?

This is simply verifiable fact at this point no matter how much Caleb ballwashers will denigrate it as fake news or whatever. Caleb Williams is an arrogant, entitled and lazy prick. He also complains like a bitch a lot.

The essential point is forever changed as a result of this rather minor point isn't it dumbass? Just Asking A Question

This is certainly "verifiable" now and not you seizing on any report of any reliability that reaffirms your personal beliefs about Caleb Williams. Good work, detective.

He didn't get it from anyone.

Imagine that, a broadcaster talking about a rookie QB in the NFL and preparation. What a novel talking point that is only brought up in very select circumstances.

Next he'll be wondering if maybe he wasn't ready for the speed of the pro game.

At least Williams seems to understand how important it is to beat the Packers. He basically did it twice.

The Bears might even be able to put up six points against the Patriots.

I'm pretty sure he's been told week in and week out to make quick decisions and launch it. I would guess 140,000 fucking times he's been told that.

When the Bears send the playbooks out to all their QBs they tape a $100 bill inside of it. So, when they're interviewin' the guys, and they ask 'em if they'd read the whole playbook, of course all of 'em are gonna say yes. 'Bout half of 'em, they mention the money. But the other half don't. So when they tell 'em about the $100 bill, most of the guys get embarrassed. They get flustered. They fess up that they didn't read the whole thing. But ask me what your boy Caleb Williams did. Neither. He said that he'd read it, and then he didn't say anything. He didn't know about the $100 bill. He lied. He never read the whole playbook.

But when they confront him about it and they tell him about the money, he lied again. He said something like "Oh-oh, yeah. Now I remember. Good one. Good one, guys." Poles said he is the only guy to tell the lie and then to have the balls to stand and stick up for the lie. Said it was the second-strangest response he had seen to the $100 bill thing. Wanna know what the first was? A kid mailed the $100 bill back to them. That kid put it in a card, and he wrote on the card "Save this for when I win you the Super Bowl." Do you wanna know who that kid was? It was Tyson Bagent.

Maybe if he worked harder he'd have thrown more interceptions.

He must have worked really hard to take 20 yd sacks and not throw interceptions. He understands how to learn. Just keep holding the ball.

I head to research this first down futility thing, because I thought there was no way the Bears were that bad on 1st down as my memory recollects. Turns out, they were tied for 4th-worst in the NFL rushing the ball on 1st down, with the Cleveland Browns at 3.7 Yards/Carry on 1st downs. The teams worse than them were: LA Chargers (3.6 Y/C) and Cowboys (3.6), LV Raiders (3.5).

League average in that split is 4.4

I have no stat to back this up, but I'd bet dollars to donuts the Bears led the league in losing yards on 2nd and short plays.

Caleb Williams had a unique talent for moving the Bears offense backwards that I’m not sure I have ever quite seen before. Certainly never over a full season. Even his ballwashers have to admit it. The Bears would be literally one yard forward two yards back for entire quarters at a time.

The idea that sacks are a "QB stat" more than they are reflective on the o-line is just pure garbage. Caleb was sacked a TON and the rushing offense was putrid in 1st down rushing situations and for the entirety of the 1st quarter. That's a lack of blocking talent and athleticism, pure and simple.

Whoa guys I think JLN finally has won me over. This post of lukewarm excuses for the gayboy finally made me see the light. Look out Pat Mahomes!

Lmao who are you doing it for? The People?

The People want fresh anti-Caleb hate and truth bombs. NOT ice cold excuses that were boring in October.
