It should be rated very hard for 2025 then.

Crazy how the NFC North goes from being brutal to vulnerable depending on the argument Bears fans want to make.

Just like how Williams has no touchdowns that really count.

I think our schedule will look easier by the time we get into the season as our division will take a huge step backwards. Jordan Love has been exposed as an interception machine. The Lions will probably be a playoff team, but look more like they did in the playoffs. This Bears team damn near bear the Washington team that whipped Detroit. Oh and let's talk about what the Vikings will look like with JJ McCarthy at QB. His ceiling is game manager.

Lions and Vikes kinda got exposed defensively late in the season, expect both to win 2-3 fewer games.

Jordan Love showed signs of regression, but Pack still has a solid roster and is not going anywhere.

Bears need a ton of work on both lines to get to 8 wins, Ben Johson could be as obtuse as Eberflus on gameday, we have no idea if he will be able to call plays and manage the game, the only thing we know is that the DC will be in total command of the defense.

To be fair, the Lions had 13 defensive players on the DL toward the end of the season. That being said, I don’t see the North placing 3 teams that highly again. Historically it just doesn’t happen frequently enough in the NFL to assume similar results in back to back seasons.

I don’t know what’s going on with the Lions, it’s just a lot of upheaval to endure and they are not a flawless team. But I expect the Vikings to be as good next year and the Packers to be improved. No reason to expect either to get worse unless injuries go crazy. Even if Detroit isn’t the NFC one seed next year they will at least be a very tough win and be competing every week.

The Lions will regress just because pretty much every 15-2 team does. I agree it seems unlikely for the North to have 3 playoff teams again but it's hard to pick any one of lions, packers, or vikings to miss right now, they should all be good again. Bears should be improved. It's hard to find another division that will be better next year.

The Vikings will take a step back if they go with McCarthy as the starter IMO. They were very fortunate that Darnold fit the system well and a 1st year starter will almost certainly struggle early on.

You have a remarkable amount of faith in a rookie.

and let's be honest, he wasn't that impressive at Michigan. That National Championship was won on defense and running the ball, not the QB play

And Pat Mahomes was all scheme at Texas Tech. Or Joe Burrow was throwing to a bunch Pro Bowl wide receivers. We have no idea really, but odds are if Minnesota drafted him and still likes him he’s pretty good. Maybe he sits another year? No real harm in that but if they want to roll him out there I think he’ll be pretty good.

He’s also not a rookie anymore. Literally.

Except for the fact JJ McCarthy's numbers aren't even in the same continent as Mahomes or Burrow. Those are 2 guys who put up

I mean Burrow in 1 season damn near matched JJ McCarthy's career total in yards.

McCarthy's best season is about on par with 2018 David Blough.

Seems like wishful thinking to me. Minnesota is a smart franchise that usually makes good decisions. If they decided to take McCarthy it’s probably because McCarthy is a good player. Same way the biggest indictment on Caleb Williams is that the Bears like him, just in reverse.

Playoff results since 2010
Bears: One conference championship appearance. 3 total playoff appearances.
Vikings: One conference championship appearance. One divisional round appearance. 5 total playoff appearances.

Not exactly massive advantage for the Vikings there and the Bears have been pretty brutal in that stretch.
