I am shocked they met his price and kept him from going to Vegas.

On paper a home run hire, but he's going to be fired in 3 years. Everything they touch turns to shit.

Well first they will fire Poles after next year, then make the new GM keep Ben Johnson for a year before firing him. Then the coach after Johnson will have to keep Caleb for a year before drafting another one.

I have no idea why he is taking this job but we’ll see. If he goes to war with the idea of Caleb Williams as an incumbent starter who cannot be supplanted no matter what I’ll believe. Until then? I’m inclined to think he’s a weirdo stiff like the rest.

Bears will never hire Johnson, they never get the right guy that everyone else wants.
No way will they get him, they arent going to pony up the money, he's going to Dallas, LV, anywhere but here
Okay, they got him but he's probably going to suck.

I liked a lot of what the Detroit offense was doing. Still need to get more talent on this roster to make his schemes work. Shocked the Bears would open their wallets as I’d heard he was asking for 10 million +.

I’m serious though, if it was his idea to let Jameson Williams of all people play quarterback on the most important drive of Detroit’s season that’s a bit of a red flag.

Take a day off, you don't need to remind everyone of how big of a fraud you were about this for a month

Adam Gase and Wanny remind us that they were the hot assistant coaches when they were hired.

I won't make you eat shit when they and Caleb are great next year, but know that I'm thinking it

Fraud? I never claimed to have any insider knowledge. ‘

I always insisted the Bears will fuck this up the way they fuck up literally everything else. The same people doing backflips today are the same people who were doing backflips when the Bears passed up on the best rookie quarterback ever to take a whiny diva who lost 11 straight and scored three points against New England.

I thought Ben Johnson was a good hire. Turns out he’s a moron. Enjoy the ride.

Already a moron? Like I said, take a day off from pretending you know what you're talking about

The Bears did the obvious thing and Poles should be congratulated for getting it done. Maybe Warren too.

I guess he doesn't agree with the assessment of Caleb by some of the board notables

Fucking stupid. Guy's not a head coach. Bears repeating same old mistakes.

I preferred Fatty McCarthy.

Disappointing. Hate seeing these losers even get a moral victory, especially one that activates the oafs like this one. All I want is for the Bears to get publicly kicked in the dick every day.

Exactly but I am sure we should say that USA knows more about QBs than Johnson.

Well I’m happy to be wrong. I figured he was off to Vegas like the rest of the media. Now let’s see who he brings in to work with him and see how he handles Caleb.

Also have to give Poles and Warren their flowers on this. Brady is no slouch as far as influence goes so these guys deserve some credit for sticking the landing here.
