Coach mentioned him quarterbacking in Chicago next year. What are the chances of this happening and would you guys like this move?

I dont see it happening but it would be a huge upgrade over the current guy.

He's 30 right now. Next year he'd be 31- not ancient for a QB, but definitely old for a mobile QB. This year is going to be a real test; how good of a pocket passer is McNabb?

Is this McNabb's final season under contract? If not, this is just spitting in the wind. If it is, then you'd have to hope that the cap space is available after 1.) the Tommy Harris resigning and 2.) a potential Urlacher money grab. (Obviously, signing McNabb would remove the need to resign Grossman, which frees up space.)

You still need help at wideout, and you'll really need help on the O-line. I think the latter is more important than the former. You need a stud left tackle to anchor this line for the next decade or so. Getting a McNabb means not having to draft a QB, and allows you to look for O-line help there.

i dont like this move. i dont want someone else's damaged goods. anybody remember the last time the bears acquired a has been, "mobile" quarterback? plus, mcnabb will command a lot more coin than Slash did.

The pros are he is a lot less mistake-proned than Rex, but when he was in the Super Bowl a couple of years back, his nerves got to him.

If he has that under control, I say they should try it out if possible.
