Looks like we all get to see a lot of new players for the Bears. Worst case scenario, we'll see:

QB: Brian Griese make his debut as a starting QB for the Bears. Griese has been waiting a year and a half for this shot. He needs to make the most of it. He has an opportunity to win a Super Bowl to close out his career if we get this offense rolling while the defense gets healthy.

RB: Cedric Benson may see the pine this week if he chokes again or fumbles early. That could mean increased carries for Adrian Peterson. Also, with the Bears offense struggling, one would have to wonder what the Bears would have to lose by getting Garrett Wolfe a few carries, not just receptions.

TE: Greg Olsen should get a healthy dose of action. He should be fully recovered and had a chance this past week to shake off any rust. I would expect to see Olsen get more involved in the offense, especially with Griese looking to go to his most reliable weapons with this opportunity.

DT: Anthony Adams will finally get his opportunity. The once super deep Bears DT rotation has lost both starters (likely) by week 3. That means that Adams and Darwin Walker will be the tandem inside. This is not necessarily a huge issue considering the Lions weak running attack and poor interior O-line. Darwin Walker has an opportunity to lock up a starting DT spot for the long term with some outstanding play. Adams was one of the top DT's available in free agency and fully intended to beat out Davoracek when he came here, pre-Darwin. Now he'll get his shot.

LB: Jamar Williams will probably get the start. We saw glimpses of Williams last week against the Boys. This week, he'll face a more advanced passing offense with a weak running game. Williams is the Bears WLB of the future, so this will be a great opportunity to see how he fits after a full week with the #1's and total immersion into the gameplan. This group will be our LB core next year.

CB: Ricky Manning Jr. was brought here to compete for a starting CB spot and to be the top nickel back in the League. He's 1 for 2, failing to unseat Vasher or Tillman now, or ever for that matter. He'll get a shot to sample the position once again this week as he moves back to the starting CB position. It will be interesting to see if Kevin Payne moves into the Nickel role now that Manning Jr. is moving to the edges. Payne is a huge hitter and incredibly athletic, but he does not firmly grasp the system yet.

S: We get to see Danieal Manning again as he continues his development now that Mike Brown is down for the count. You need to keep an eye on this because Mike Brown's career as a Bear could be over. Manning is the future and we'll have to see how he works with Archuleta in the secondary against a top rated passing attack.
