Methinks that Brian Westbrook will have a kickass game this week.

I keep hoping the Bears will turn things around, but it doesn't seem likely.

Eagles 32, Bears 16.

Both defensive lines should control the game this week I think. Id be worried about Curtis alot also, but this game is winnable for the Bears. I said that about the Lions and Vikings games also but its true, The eagles are not that good and Reid is having a terrible year in general, IDK how much focus he cant really have on football right now. It seems to me like Mcnabb is also just waiting for a ride out of there at the end of the year, so this might be sort of a scouting game for him.

If Brian Westbrook is healthy, he's going to put up big yardage. Not that this is surprising or anything as he does this every week, but he makes me really nervous.

They should forfeit. Really, why bother?

....Because their mediocrity is more fatiguing emotionally than complete incompetence would be.

Benson won't run for big yardage because he has no burst. Westbrook, however, will run for big yardage.

The Eagles win this one 30-24.

Will Tommie Harris bring fire and passion, or will he still be suffering from his Super Bowl hangover?

Midget is right. They haven't shown up for a game since the first week of the season.

My Dear Internet Friends,
The Bears defensive line in recent weeks has turned from an asset into a liability. They are currently ranked 28th in defense against the run (29th in TD allowed) and Brian Westbrook leads a team ranked 14th in rushing (2nd in YpA). This leads me to believe that the Eagles will control the clock for a considerable period of time even though the Eagles have only four touchdowns on the ground. This, combined with the fact that McNabb has only 4 interceptions, means that Reid will move the ball around to all offensive weapons with impunity. I think that the Bears, facing a team ranked 8th in passing yards, 5th in TD's allowed and 6th in yards allowed on the gound will be in a large amount of three and outs situations.
I will go ahead and say that the Bears will get one TD in the air, probably to a TE, and you may see one return for TD from Hester. I will also claim that the Bears will get a FG as well...
My prediction is that this game is going to be a blowout, especially as this game is in Philiadelphia.

17-35 Eagles.

Your Dear Friend,
EJ.

P.S. If anyone sees Brian Urlacher, go ahead and tell him it is ok to tackle runners. We will not mind.

That doesn't mean they should forfeit - they need to start playing the way we expected them too or else this place will be filled with lots of draft talk.

The announcer just informed us that the Bears think Westbrook is the best RB they will face this year. They have already faced Larry Johnson, LT, Adrian Peterson, and the great Deshawn Wynn. Clearly a stupid comment.

They did however correctly point out what Nas has been saying for awhile about Griese, that on 3rd and 6 he throws a nice safe horizontal pass that doesnt help the team convert the 3rd down at all but will look better on the box score.

Well, I guess if Westbrook isn't in the game we don't need to worry about the run...

It's not a good sign when Archuletta is making every tackle.

I was thinking the same thing. I have heard his name called more so far than every previous game combined.

They have to challenge that! It looked like Olsen's shin hit...

True, but usually he's not even tackling anyone since they're already in the end zone, so it's a little better.

I'm not that upset with him today - when you are lining him up opposite of Brian Westbrook, he's going to get beat.

This whole defense is all about bend but don't break - they should be extremely thankful they are playing a team without a red zone target for McNabb to consistently find.

Last week, didn't Baldinger say that Adrian Peterson was the best in league ?

This is not the first time I've noticed this, but the Eagles throw the ball to Kevin Curtis, he gets a few yards after the catch, but he stats in the game! The Bears throw the ball to Greg Olsen, quickly becoming the team's best receiving option, and he comes out right away for a few plays. How about Hester ? It's good that they decided to take a shot at him - I think Griese would have hit him if he would have put a bit more mustard on that ball, but then he plays just a handful of snaps.

Is Bernard Berrian playing today ?

He does annoy me at times as well with his opinions because sometimes he says things that are just wrong, but I need some occasional unintentional comedy to get me through this game.

The offense looks good. Benson is running hard and Griese is making some good throws. We even had a Moose sighting today. They have to get in the endzone though. I feel good about this one. I think the offense will put up 20 points in the 2nd half and the defense will force a couple of turnovers.

I think the offense looks like crap - as usual.

Benson gets 2 yards a carry, and occasionally he'll break a 7 yard run.

I hope you're right, but I'm not optimistic.
