He's a good enough player that someone will take a flyer on him. That team will also be disappointed unless he learns something from his release.

I heard Marvin Lewis has stepped forward in defense of Tank Johnson and is blaming the state of Arizona for teaching police officers to racially profile people.

IMO, this may have been a bit premature by the Bears. I would have waited for the toxicology reports to come back (unless of course they have some inside information). If he was just speeding, I don't think he deserved to be cut. But if there was any alcohol involved - good riddance Tank.

I'm in the Waddle camp on this one. There was no good reason for him to be out after midnight. Nothing good can be going on at that time of the night/morning. Unless he was driving to an ER with a pregnant woman, he had no business being out that late.

He knew he was on thin ice and continued to thumb his nose at both the Bears and the law.

Maybe Tank and Pacman can be the stars of some new felons league (someone call Mark Cuban).

IMO I dunno if it was premature- he was on a vrey tight leash and I think the Bears were pretty clear on what Tank could and could not do. He's an idiot- why didn't he rent a limo or take a cab? All that money gone gone gone.

And if he has, he is justified.

If he had been in a limo that was involved in a traffic accident at 3:30am the Bears would have waived him.

If the police report should mention things like car's weaving around, the guy's slurring, or something of that nature... why wait for the toxicology results?

At 8:15pm maybe not, but at 3:45am...

Who cares if it's after midnight? Are you people all crotchety old senior citizens that go to bed after the 6 o'clock news? There's tons of good stuff that happens after midnight and a lot of it is legal.

Yeah. I didn't understand the blood test. I'm thinking he actually blew for an alchohal test and passed.

But the cop knew he was on something by his appearance and actions. That's why they took blood. I didn't know cops could get a warrant for taking blood.

Couldn't Tank argue that even if they found weed in his system that it wasn't from the night in question. That it was from a prior day.

Either way it doesn't help him with the NFL but it could get him out of this situation. A good lawyer will get him off for this.

It's weird. I saw a COPS episode this weekend. They pulled over two kids who admitted smoking pot, the cop smelled it and pulled a blunt from their stash. He just wrote the kid a ticket for possesing pot and sent the kid on his way. The cop did test the kid and determined he was fit to drive but still. I guess different cops and states handle it differently.

I think that means that Tommy Harris & Dusty Dvoracek are recovering well from their injuries

We made it clear to him that he had no room for error: Jerry Angelo

I don't see how the Bears had any choice but to let him go.

So who signs him and how fast does it happen?

I've got a question. If nobody picks up Tank does that clock starting on his 8 game suspension hold over until next year? I would imagine so.

Who the hell is gonna pick him up with this 8 game suspension. I suppose somebody will. But not if this latest arrest turns into a DUI or drugs.

I'm starting to get the impression that Tank Johnson has poor decision making skills.

You're right, we should all post on CSFMB after midnight to stay out of trouble.
