Ok, it's being talked about EVERYWHERE in Chicago, so we might as well tackle the issue here too.

Which WR will/should be cut??

You must make TWO selections...

1) Who will actually be cut

2) Who SHOULD actually be cut

1) Brandon Rideau

2) Rashied Davis

Adam Schefter reported today the Eagles have too many receivers and will likely cut Hank Baskett or Reggie Brown. Either of those guys would be a good addition to the Bears right? They've done more than Rideau/Davis/Aromashodu/Knox?

You can put Knox and Iglesias on practice squad right? But then you run the risk of someone claiming them?

Otherwise I think it will be

1. Aromashodu

2. Davis

When I went down to Bearbonnais, I thought Rideau had a pretty strong showing when he was takin' snaps with the first team, but then again...

I'm still thinking he'll get a chance to prove himself this season, though, so I'm going with Davis and Knox

Plus he's good on special teams.

Rideau should be cut but I fear Davis will be. Cutler's opinion might make a bit of a difference on this one though yes? I do like Davis on special teams a lot. Seems to always be making or forcing plays. Plus he's one of my favorite guys on a team full of asshats.

I am hoping Davis is released. He is an average WR at best with average hands. I remember him dropping some important balls last year. Rideau is taller & faster & he looks like a WR. Plus he had a good camp. We know what Davis is...inconsistent & average. Rideau has upside, Davis doesn't.

I wonder how much input Cutler will actually have. More interestingly, I wonder what his attitude will be if they keep a guy he doesn't want.

I really hope they don't cut Knox. I've liked what I've seen from him.

Rideau and Davis is my vote to go.

I thought Rideau was destined for cutsville last year. He must look like the lovechild Jerry Rice and Steve Largeant in practice, because he's always been bad whenever I've watched him.

I think Knox could easily become younger Davis in terms of special teams..

Dr Ken said Davis's hands are made of stone, but I think they will keep him and get rid of Rideau.

I like DA.

Kind of surprising to hear that. I wonder how serious they were about Burress then if this is true. I was just under the assumption that anyone with any kind of legal/personal issues would not even get a 2nd look with the Bears under Jerry's lead considering Tank/Ced Benson etc.

I was very encouraged by what I saw from the Bears WR's tonight. Johnny Knox had a great game & most likely secured a roster spot with his big catches & Kick returns. Iglesias was the leading receiver for the Bears tonight both in catches & yards. Rideau's big catch for a TD was a big time play. This kid looks like a stud. No way can the Bears cut him.
Rasheed Davis didn't play & I don't think he even dressed. Does this mean that he has already made the team, or does it mean that it has already been determined that he will be released? I hope it is the latter because Iglesias, Knox, & Rideau all look promising.

Damn. The Bears just cut Brandon Rideau. I really liked this kid.
What in the world did Rasheed Davis do to keep his job?

Neither one was really going to make that much of a significant impact...

I really believe Davis will. He played well in the slot the year before and during the SB run he made some big catches to win several games in the same position. The Bears made the mistake by trying to put him on the outside because every other receiver they had sucked.

I'll buy into what you're selling if he doesn't have a case of the dropsies this year. He was probably picked for his special teams ability...

We have Matt Jones minus the coke already. His name is Greg Olsen.
