All week,people have been bitching about Angelo & his poor picks. Lovie & his bad coaching but the one guy nobody talks about is the guy who paid out big bucks to keep these 2. Actually,what does Ted Phillips DO? He put the space station on the lakefront,but what since then? Ok,1 SB appearance in which in turn got Ted & his two cronies long term deals. IF the Bears falter this year,does Mikey ask his mommy for another chance???

Ya his next big Power move will be when he croaks over. That's the only way to free this franchise of the pussy-ness 'shoot for the playoffs not the superbowl' attitude (except for the first 3 Ditka years). Like when the old man croaked over for the blackhawks, it finally freed that franchise up and now they operate like a 21st century organization. But with the bears, it's not as easy as that. The bears have to get rid of this halas lineage of ownership if we are ever to see a real football organization emerge. Halas was a cheap Fuck, so are the halas/mccaskeys. They'll never invest all the way with this team. Will just try to go maybe 60 percent and see if they get lucky and win. Starts with the top.
