The undoing of the Wanny era was his belief that you need D-linemen that are fast. His D-Line ended up getting the crap knocked out of them on a weekly basis. I'm seeing the same thing now. The Chicago Bears D-Line has not been the same since they had the disruptive force of Ted Washington & Keith "Tractor" Traylor. To start the rebuild,get some DT's who can PUSH the blocker back. I beleive everything starts with that on defense. Every novice football expert knows any football team starts with building your lines. The Bears are a mess now. No draft picks,lousy talent evaluators & maybe a conservative,gun shy approach to getting free agents.

I understand what Lovie wants. Speed at positions. But the fat guy position should just be fat guys!

Fat guys dont work on speed, they work on being HUGE! (que HUGE)

I am with Lovie on the ends being fast, quick, etc, same with LB's etc.

But give me two fat guys like the Williams wall and we can work out from there!

I agree with both of you. I remember reading articles when Wanny was here on how he loved speed guys. BUT stuffing the run up the middle & pushing a center or guard BACK into the QB,that's what I like to see.
