Boldin isn't a free agent. Why don't you think these guys will come here?

If there is one thing I have learned about Jerry Angelo is that he is football retarded.

The first four names could also fall into the bucket of guys the Bears don't want.

I think getting Rolle is probably even more critical then getting a DE.

I now support the idea of TO coming to the Bears merely for the entertainment value & the interpersonal dynamics of TO & Lovie Smith.

Lovie: "Now Terrell, we don't talk to the media here at the Bears. Don't give them much".
TO. "Fuck you coach".

Remember that you said this. I won't let you forget when Peppers is destroying the other teams QB and leading the Bears defense to the NFC Championship game. :drunken:

they definitely used the term "desperate" in reference to the bears pursuit of peppers. that about sums it up.

*bump*

All things considered, I may actually think this is a good thing (in the event that they do actually pull this off) IF the Bears are able to get Taylor and a couple of legit safeties now that they have a REAL TE to help address the blocking deficiencies. They did lose out on Rolle, but who new that they'd be going after these other guys so aggressively? I like what's happening so far, but I guess that I'll really be drinkin' the Kool-Aid if they come up with another receiver through free agency or the draft, and if they shore up the defensive backfield in a draft that's supposed to be deep in safeties...

Trade Olsen to the Patriots for a 2nd round pick and then trade that pick for Marshall.

Or Boldin.

I would probably spend a 3rd round pick on Boldin but I wouldn't spend a 2nd round pick. They still have to give a guy that has only play 1 full season in the last 6 years a lot of money. Even with Marshall's off the field issues he is worth the risk IMO. He is a top 5 receiver and a change of scenery may help. Boldin no longer is in that discussion.

I choose to look at it as "Boldin for Olsen."

Easy decision when you put it like that.

Isn't the TE in the Cardinals offensive system mostly a blocker? Why would the Cards want Olsen?

They got Moss for a 4. Different situations but still...

Yeah 2nd round is pretty high. Especially if anyone from the Patriots has ever watched an actual Bears game...

Miami hits at about a 97% clip with players who make the NFL being at least Good. Bears found the 3%.

I mean maybe we can trade him for the #1 overall and finally get a

I'm saying trade for a 2nd round, then trade again for Boldin. The end result being, effectively, trading Olsen for Boldin.

There's no chance the Bears are signing Julius Peppers. You are all high if you think he's coming to Chicago!

I definitely see the Vikings re-signing Chester Taylor. He is a little old for a running back though.
