He has to have one of the biggest smiles I've ever seen. He seemed to be genuinely enthusiastic. Do you think he was happy to play for the Bears or was he happy that he got a ton of dough to play football for three years? Are we honestly to believe that he'll be playing for the Bears in 6 years?

Yeah, I'll probably say a little because of the fact that he's now a part of an organization that seemed as though they were gonna jump through whatever hoops necessary to get him, but ALOT because of an insane amount of guaranteed money. I do think that he'll likely play out the entire contract (hopefully EARNING said enormous paycheck), as a 30 year-old DE isn't the same as a 30 year-old RB - he has some prime years left...

If I offered you either 42 million dollars or a chance to play for the Bears which would you take?

I thought I heard on the radio that the Bears were willing to offer $2 million more a season for the contract.

I have a feeling that the other teams said that they weren't willing to match the initial Bears offer.

Supposedly the Panther's original offer was more, so it wasn't only about the money. The most money and not Carolina.

I don't think the guaranteed money was the same from Carolina, so they didn't offer more.
