Alright before anyone starts I know this is not going to happen, but still would like to get the pulse of Bears fans. If the Steelers offered Roethlisberger to the Bear straight up for Cutler right now would you do the deal or not and why? Light em up like Christmas trees Chicago!!!!!!

Pittsburgh wouldn't touch that deal. They want a high first round draft pick or two, and the Bears don't have those.

I get that it is not going to happen hence the first line of my post. But hypothetically if you were Jerry Angelo and Pittsburgh calls with that deal....do you take it?

Hell yeah. In a heartbeat. We amoricans love a comeback story. Big Ben leads the Bears to a Super Bowl victory and then hosts SNL, is TIME's Man of the Year and finishes 2nd in Nobel Peace Prize voting to Obama.

But Cutler for Roethlisberger straight up? Make that deal.

What's the saying in the NFL? 'there is Goodell, then man, then horse, then dog, then woman, then place kicker.'

I don't want to get someone who we'd have to worry might go out and rape someone or do something else that would get him suspended for a season.

I think someone should offer Roethlisburger up to a bear that would maul and kill him. Or the Score monkey who would eat his face. Of course with how pig ugly the man is an eaten face might be an improvement.

Then you might not want to be a fan of any NFL team--all NFL rosters are chock full of such characters.

How do you figure? Cutler has never been anything but an average, to slightly above average, QB. He has all kinds of lapses in his game, most of them upstairs. He doesnt seem like a good leader or winner. Ben has repeatedly shown he will come through on the smallest and biggest of stages. He usually is at his best when the game is on the line. I wont brag much about his first ring, more of a passenger on the bus(no pun intended) for that one, he was obviously very integral in the second one. There's really no reason to believe Cutler will be better, although I do realize I'm speaking to a person who doesnt believe athletes are subject to emotion or pressure and different ones react differently, and someone who considers the regular season more important than the playoffs.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Sure, I like MAC QB's...but Cutler is a better QB.

First, Roethlisberger is a health concern from here on forward. He holds onto the ball way too long, which would get him killed behind this line. Cutler was much better than "average to slightly above average" in Denver.

He's missed 3 games in four years. You cant say he's a health concern. Agree to disagree on the latter part.
