Wendell Davis broke 2 ankles on the same play. Nobody hit him,it was the bad turf in Philly,that destroyed a lot of careers. Years later,after he was out of football,I recognized him at some kids festival in Rosemont. He was there with his wife & kids. My wife went up to him and asked if my 2 kids could take a picture with him. He was very nice,also probably surprised someone knew who he was.
