When will Cutler be held accountable for his play? When will the reason the Bears lose be blamed on him? I keep seeing in most of the predictions that many people have already built an excuse for Cutler's poor play. Fact is Cutler lost at least 4 games by himself last season. That would have made the Bears a playoff team. Even winning 3 of those god awful games would have put them in the playoffs. As injured and as supposedly bad the Bears were he cost them the season.

Never. The Bears dealt for a big name QB, then did absolutely NOTHING to provide him with a supporting cast. The OL still sucks, & he still has 3 #3 WR's as his receiver corp. The Bears dumped $40 Million guaranteed on Peppers when they should have spread that money out to improve the OL & WR's.
I hope Jay loses it this year with Teddy, Jerry & Lovie, because he has a pile of shit around him.

When the media realizes he blows. Now the excuse is the O co-ordinator isn't right for him! Fuck he turned a bagboy into a qb ...why not Cutler?

Is it not true that Cutler's performance cost the Bears at least 4 games last season? How is that drinking kook-aid? Being critical of a key player is drinking kool-aid? You may want to get some rest before your next flight.

That tells me everything. He'll throw 20 more redzone picks and it will be blamed on Ron Turner and anyone one else that comes to mind.

Hova, which 4 games do you think he lost by himself? The SF game clearly comes to mind, but I wonder which other 3 you are thinking about.

The thing is, you can't just isolate games that you think he lost, and then presume another QB (Orton or whoever) would have still won the other 7 games. I don't think Orton would have won the Pittsburgh or Seattle games, and he probably wouldn't have put up all the points needed to beat Minnesota near the end of the year either. So you have to count the good with the bad.

Also, where you do and others on the board get the stat where Cutler threw some 20 or 22 red zone picks? 5 of his 26 total picks were in the red zone. Too high to be sure, but far less than 20+ which would be insane.

Here's a breakdown of the picks:

I still don't blame Cutler for SF. They ran the same play back to back. The defense knew it. And even then, Olsen didn't come back for the ball.

Eh, you can make the same argument the other way--Bears were multiple missed FG's by the Steelers and Seahawks kickers away from being 5-11.

No one will ever blame Cutler because the people were so open about wanting Cutler. Admitting that the trade was a mistake will be admitting that they were wrong, which they will never do. Only players, coaches, GMs, and management are wrong. Sports fans and the media are never wrong.

Fans want him to be good so the Bears win games. That is our only vested interest.
I hope Cutler will be good. If he's not, I guess I was wrong in hoping he'd be good.

When the quarterback is the biggest question mark on the team. His desicion making needs to be better no doubt, but he is far down on the list of things that concern me this year.

I think he lost 5.

Both Packers games
49ers
Falcons
Eagles

Of course you can never accurately predict how another player will do but I really believe a QB like Orton would've protected the ball better. The 20 red zone picks were an exaggeration but I was saying in addition to what he has already thrown.

He will never be the biggest problem on the team. Neither were Orton or Grossman. He is the most important player on the team though. If he plays at the level you and I expect him to play at the Bears will win a lot of games. If he plays like he did last year they will be mediocre again. He will then be in his 4th different offense in 4 years.

To be as crappy as the Bears are going to be this year it takes total team effort.

So HOVA wants to know when Cutler is going to be held responsible and then I see the last post and he claims Cutler will never be the biggest problem????? Which is it? Seems you just start a topic to take both sides???

WHO YOU CRAPPIN??????????

And I held him responsible http://score670.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=50155

Other than Field Goal kicking, there isn't one single aspect of football that the Bears are good at. Not one.
I suppose the LB's are pretty decent.

Just because he isn't the biggest problem on the team doesn't mean he shouldn't be held accountable for 4 and 5 interception games. I see your WYC and I raise you a cool.

So if you believe that Cutler is so bad, how is it then that you think the Bears will win 12 games this year?

When did I ever say he was bad? John Kirk Rule. I just pointed out that many of you already have your excuses prepared in the event Cutler struggles.

No, no, no...don't crap me now... You started this thread & said that "Cutler lost at least 4 games by himself last year". When you infer that 1 player by himself is responsible for almost 50% of his teams losses, that certainly sounds like you don't think very highly of that player.

A bagboy who was an ideal pocket passer because of his poor mobility and accurate arm. I guess you forgot Warner had 3 HOF skill players to work with, too.

I am giving him a reason, that the WR's and the Scheme don't fit the way he throws, but for $22 million still his fault

Has the "if we tell you are receivers are good over and over and over again then you will believe us even though they aren't" strategy worked for the coaching staff and front office? People can spin it any way they want to but this group of receivers sucks as a whole. I like Knox and think DA has potential, but that is all. Jay misses the days when he had Marshall to throw to.
