In a surprise move, the Bears have released Mark Anderson and are planning to fill his roster spot with another veteran defensive end, according to two league sources.

So Jerry & Lovie drop Mark Anderson & sign Charles Grant. These dopes are still working on the Defense when it is the OL that needs attention. It really shouldn't be difficult to find a OL that is better than Frank Ohmygod.

So tell us oh great one, who is out there available that you want them to sign right now that will be better?

The Bears pay big money to their scouts to find players. It's about fucking time they find some good players.

Grant was indicted on a charge of involuntary manslaughter stemming from a February 2008 altercation at a nightclub in which a pregnant woman was shot to death outside a Blakely, Georgia nightclub. Korynda Reed, 23, and her unborn fetus died after being taken to the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan after the fight early in the morning of February 3, 2008. Grant has said that he was neither an instigator nor a participant in the fight. Grant was arraigned on August 15, 2008.[7] The criminal case was resolved in May 2010 when Grant pleaded guilty to a charge of public affray, he was assessed a $1,000 fine and a year's probation, and ordered to pay $20,000 for the cost of the investigation by the sheriff's office; the more serious involuntary murder charge was dismissed. Grant still faced a civil suit by the family of the victim

IOW, you are talking out your ass again and have no clue. Just because the Bears make a move on the DL does not mean they are not trying to find fixes on the OL.

After 3 years of OL suckage, you would think the Bears superscouts could find a decent OL.

So are you happy with the Bears OL? Or should they make changes?

That makes going to pick your kids up at the Hinsdale Oasis look like chump change.

I never said I was happy with the Bears OL, they are BRUTAL, and there needs to be changes, but just because that is the case does not mean they should stop trying to make other areas of the team better. If cutting Mark Anderson helps the team, then they should do it.

Right, but I want to see them prioritize the biggest problem with the team, the OL. They should have numerous OL traveling to Halas Hall for workouts this week. Hopefully they do.
As far as the DL goes, the Bears should have kept Alex Brown & released Tommie fucking Harris.

After raising quite a few eyebrows in his rookie season, Mark Anderson's play has gone down considerably and I can't say I'm surprised he's been sent packing by the Bears. I wish the Bears could invest more in their offensive line so that QB Jay Cutler can't continue to get beat up like a government mule week in & week out.

Some team will sign Anderson and convert him to a LB in a 3-4.

Agree,

If this kid comes back strong with someone, that is the rope needed.

I know a team that has some undrafted free agent playing outside linebacker opposite the NFL sack leader. They might have a use for another outside linebacker. They also just put another player on IR today so the roster spot is there.

I still would like to know why Jerry & Lovie thought Tommie Harris & his $8 million salary had more value to the Bears than Alex Brown & his $750K salary. Which player is the better player? Which player is the better ROI?

I don't see a single OL named there Mr. Kirk. A lot of bitching that the team has scouts. You're the one who called the station. Who do YOU want to see the Bears bring in for the OL that's out there right now?

The Bears supposedly have the lowest scouting budget in the NFL...and it shows.
