He's doing the Bears game this week. He loves to use the word "then" when it's totally unnecessary for the sentence. I've noticed this for some time with him. He'll probably do it like 20-30 times on Sunday if not more. You can make this a drinking game if you want.

Examples of what he'll do:

"Cutler needs to set his feet and he can, then, throw accurate passes."

"If the Bears can get good offensive line play they can, then, be an elite team in the NFC."

"If Hester can make the first man miss he can, then, have a long return most of the time."

Simply put, that's nothing more than a vocal tic, in point of fact.
