If nothing else, I guess that it couldn't hurt to have an extra blocker in the backfield to protect Cutler from the constant blitzes that the line can't handle whatsoever. I'm worried that Martz would find a way to fuck this up, though...

Why would this be something to look forward to? Even with 2 RBs in the backfield, Martz will pass 99% of the time.

This. Why not get an actual fullback who knows how to handle a Blitz pickup and put him back there to stop one of the 4 defenders that Omayale, Webb, Louis and Williams let into the backfield
