ALLEN PARK, Mich. - The Detroit Lions may have more problems at quarterback.

Shaun Hill(notes) appeared to have a splint on the index finger of his throwing hand at practice Tuesday. He stood off to the side while Drew Stanton(notes) took snaps with the first team.

The Lions already lost quarterback Matthew Stafford(notes) to an injured shoulder, and Hill has been starting in his place.

Stafford was at practice but wasn't participating in the portion open to the media.

Stanton has played in three games this season, completing 20 of 36 passes for 233 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Detroit hosts the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Glad to hear this news. The Lions are still dangerous at home with Hill at QB. They are dead with Stanton (suprisingly one of Harry's guys).

Maybe the Jets will knock Brady out and the Patriots will know Sanchez out.

Yeah. Everybody needs extra luck to beat the Lions

Didn't the Bear have a very good bit of luck help them win the last game against them?
A goofy rule on a clear touchdown?

I know that the Lions have extra time to prepare for this game after Tom Brady and the Patriots' offense carved them apart like a Thanksgiving Day turkey, but Drew Stanton may suffer the same fate as the Dolphins' Tyler Thigpen. He's the #3 quarterback on their depth chart for a reason...

As for Shaun Hill and his broken finger, ProFootballTalk.com reports it could end his season. The Lions haven't placed Matt Stafford and his shoulder injury on injured reserve...yet. It only seems like a matter of time. Mr. Stanton and Zac Robinson, say hello to Julius Peppers, Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher...

It is officially Drew Stanton getting the start. This game is as close to a guarantee as you can get. The lions have absolutely no chance of winning this game or even being competitive.

Kyle Vanden Bosch is out as well. I will be very disappointed if this game is not a route. We all remember the close score on opening day but forget the statistics of that game. The Bears owned time of possession, moved the ball at will and shut down the run. The only reason the game was close was because of ineptitude in the red zone.

Correct. The best rout to a route is to score TDs.

Sorry, Frank - you have the spellings backward. I just don't want to see Midge come after you on that one :)
