Lance Louis is the guy they should be developing as the next LT. Put him there with Carimi coming back. Let Webb learn a little work ethic as he battles for a position either with Carimi or an OG.

It is crazy. Louis has been developing on the right side and that is where he should stay. Chris Spencer should go back to the bench when Carimi comes back and Louis should slide back to RG. Webb is still going through the growing pains of playing LT. I believe he'll be fine. He has the size and athleticism that you look for in that position. The interior and the right side of the Bears line has played well over the past few weeks and with the bye week a lot of the newer guys will get the chance to work a little more on fundamentals. Not having things like OTA's really set them back.

For questioning Tice skills as a coach they shouldn't look any further than Louis. He was a TE in college and missed most of his rookie year with an injury.

I wrote that in the Tice thread.

I still don't see it with Webb.

Webb has all the tools that you look for in a LT. I think it's mental with him. Once he gets over that hurdle he will be fine.

He is big, I'll give you that.

As far as the "toolos" he supposedly has, he looks slow and seems to have either a work ethic problem and/or a playing with pain problem.

Good feet/speed/quickness/strength

You could be right when it comes to desire and work ethic. I just assume the guy is thinking too much instead of playing. If it's what you say then it would be best to sit him down.

Normally, I'd chalk it up to inexperience, but he played LT in college and is supposed to be very smart. He admitted earlier in the year that he dogged it in preparation for the season and a particular game (I cannot remember the game, maybe preseason against Merriman). I think the guy needs to be challenged.

Webb is often very slow in reacting to the snap of the ball.

I wonder if he has an attention deficit or learning disorder.

I've noticed the same thing. Not sure what it could be.

I still don't agree moving Louis though.

You are talking about the Bears' J'Marcus Webb, right?

I just want to make sure because there are few things I would say about him and "speed" along with "quickness" would not be on that list unless they were preceeded by the term 'lack of'
