for Jerry Angelo. He signed a guy who had his car and 88K confiscated by the FBI. He was open about it as he tried to get it back from them saying it was money from his bank account...except for their being no record of the bank activity.

JA signs another guy with questions either about his physical/character problems that should have been revealed with due diligence.

This guy has gotten a pass for far too long with these type of missteps.

I don't think so other than him not being a good addition to the team. If he were a really good player would you feel the same? You dig into some of the pasts of players and you are going to find stuff. They can also change and have the right to another opportunity or chance.

So Angelo is supposed to have people following his players around looking into their day to day activities? Sure, thats not a violation of their civil rights.

If a player has some skeleton's in the ol closet, you should probably be even more diligent and a little creative in "scouting" him

or dont take the risk

I think all the lousy draft picks in the first and second rounds could warrant GM Jerry Angelo's firing by the Bears, long before the Sam Hurd arrest.

Should have applied this to drafting Ced Ben

The NFL already employs a private investigation team. Blows your mind away doesn't it?

Angelos job performance results would get him fired in 90% of American businesses. I would have canned him a few years ago.

Yeah. And you have proven time and time again what a great GM you would make.

I would have canned him for checking the wrong box on the contract 10 years ago. The Hawks moved out their GM under similar circumstances.

My draft picks would have been better than Jerrys. Hell, if he would have just gone chalk at every draft he would have had much better results.
