Looks like he is stuck into hiring Ruskell as GM. Or hiring another GM that he doesn't really want. Don't do either. You don't have to. Just have a press conference saying they didn't find a GM that met their standards and they will revisit it next year. In the meantime tell everybody that Ruskell remains as player personal guy and he and Lovie will do the draft and free agents with Lovie having final say.

This way you don't have to hire a GM that you don't want, and commit to him long term at big money. If the Bears suck next year you can get rid of Lovie and Ruskell and make the GM job more appealing to good canidates. Now potential GMs will have the full power that they want. If you win I guess you can name Rusekll the GM or just name Lovie the GM at that point.

Doing it my way has no down side.

They are so stupid. They might as well have just kept Angelo. I don't understand them...unless they are just that stupid.
