This was a game we all put down in the loss column when looking at the schedule at the beginning of the season. Most analysis has the Packers as the superior team this year. It is a tough team to beat, on the road, on a national night broadcast. They were supposed to lose and did. No shame.

The defense has now let up 14 and 16 points to two offenses that I think will prove themselves to be pretty good. Sure there are some troubling things but all in all, this is still a double digit playoff team.

It wasnt the fact that they lost but the manner in which they did. The offense was supposed to be this shining beacon of hope for the aging defense and instead it looked like a Craig Krenzel affair.

Let's also not forget that this game was at night and as we all know diabetics are unable to perform the most minor functions after the sun goes down.

Then explain Santo's broadcast performance during day games.

I think they will be fine offensively. They have some quality at WR, TE, RB and OL.

Amputees are only functional between the time of 6:27 AM and 8:13 AM.

Their line is terrible. They dont have anything better than Kellen Davis at TE. I dont think we know if Donald Brown is good yet. Not sure about any of their receivers beyond Wayne. Andrew Luck looked bad last week. I see them being in the bottom 3rd of the league offensively. Maybe even bottom 5.

I'm changing my diet right now.

It appears a side-effect having the sugar diabeetus is to have 300 pound men fall on you after the sun goes down.

It wasn't so much the night factor, but everyone knows that diabetics cannot perform on Thursdays. Get him back on Sunday or Monday, he will be fine

Cutler won't lead the Bears to anything meaningful. IF the Bears win the SB it will be because of their defense and running game. Cutler has all the talent in the world but he folds too often in big games. He had ANOTHER bad Rex game on national television against a good team. He can't blame lack of talent on his failures either. He was clearly rattled. I want to give this offense the benefit of the doubt because it is still new but I can't because Jay knows the offense. This is his offense and he still sucks in big games.

The "D" actually looked stellar last night, and early on the pass defense was covering up well. Then the offense "happened".

That's all wrong.

Every word.

Cutler can lead the Bears to somewhere meaningful. He already did actually.

No team is winning the SB with defense and running

He doesnt fold in big games, just the ones you choose to focus on

He CAN blame the talent because he has a lazy 7th RD pick at arguably the second most important position on the offense.

He does not suck in big games. He didnt suck against Seattle. He didnt suck against the Chargers last year when he brought them to 7-3. He didnt suck in the nationally televised packer game where he threw 4 tds.

Yes. Perspective is needed. After watching the first 2 games nothing has changed my mind that this is an 11-5 football team.

In fact, the only thing that has changed, after watching the Packers for 2 games, is that I think 11-5 might be good enough to win this division.

Good point. I think both the Lions and Packers are worse than expected this year, but it still early on and lots of things can change.
