Taking a time out and then immediately throwing the challenge flag, among Lovie's top 10 greatest hits.

As an outsider looking in, it's certainly challenges to me...which makes sense, given the head coach he worked under immediately before landing the Bears job...

Actually, I suppose the correct term would be "Lack of an offensive philosophy"

His offensive philosophy is to get turnovers on defense

Not to mention a short field...

Yes, he's never had one.

The offensive has just been a vehicle to the give the defense a rest and move the ball sufficiently to not negatively impact the field position battle.

I've been working on a Doug & OB Drinking Game. So far, I've got - drink when -

OB says "I'm gonna tell you what..."
Doug says "again" - his use of the word "again" reaches Hampton-ian levels
Doug begins a sentence with "Look..."
Either say "LINE STUNTS!"
OB says "I BELIEVE, DOUG,...."

Still working on it.

For the last 3 years, the offense has had to have a total meltdown to get things straightened out. Eventually, some of that has to fall on the head coach. I'll give him credit for eventually making necessary changes, but it shouldn't have had to come to a total calamity before implementing them.

So when the day comes that Lovie is no longer the head coach of the Bears, does he end up like Jauron & Wanny? Will anyone pay him $5 Million per year to be their head coach?

Do not put it passed the McClaskeys to promote Mike Tice to head coach. The South side meatball fans might like this idea, but it is a very bad idea.

Lovie will get a 3 year extension at the end of this year so it will be a moot point for a few years.

Bear seasons have taken a predictable turn.

Game 1 - Look good
Game 2 - Offensive calamity
Game 3 - Dumb down the offense to manage the game until defense wins

Go on win streak.

Have something bad happen at the end of the year - injury-related.

Yes. Lovie will be highly sought after when he is available.

I'll just be happy if the Bears can actually hire their first choice for head coach. I think...
