San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh is being treated for an irregular heartbeat Thursday and is not with the team.
Harbaugh is at Stanford Hospital, the club announced, on doctor’s orders and the hope is he can return Friday and be available for Monday’s game against the Chicago Bears at Candlestick Park.

We anticipate that he will be back at the facility tomorrow, but do not have any further information to share at this time. Assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Brad Seely will be overseeing today's practice and meetings. When more information regarding coach Harbaugh is available we will pass that along.”
49ers defensive end Justin Smith said players were just recently informed.
“We just heard about it a couple minutes ago ourselves,” Smith said. “Prayers are with him. They said it’s no big deal, just a little minor procedure and everything should be fine and he’ll be back to work tomorrow.”
