Shocked he thinks about things, but 2 years seems about right on his thought process.

I dont totally blame Hester for this, as they could have just paid him to be a KR...yes it would have been more than any other KR ever, but if you want the best ever, you pay them the most too.

Bears could fuck up a wet dream. The kid is a legit moron but another franchise would have turned a speed/gimmick guy into something. Or actually would have traded him at the height of his value after preemptively talk with his agent and getting an idea that he wanted to be paid like a #1.

And lets not forget they created a rule for him, which didn't exactly help anything.

So yeah, unless the money is holding them back then I have no issue with seeing Hester for another year - returning punts/kicks and even possibly in an actual NFL offense, as a gimmick guy.

On returns Hester went from running forward to sideways to finally backwards. It looks almost like he's afraid of contact. I just think he imagines he still has the speed and elusiveness to turn the corner. He hasn't had that speed for years now.

And he's lost too much to be a "gimmick" guy too. He's just at the end of his productive career, and I think you only keep him if he's a bargain and you have no obvious replacement.
