All the blind love fans were giving him on the score and other stations was sicking. And the thing is, he just might be worse than our last GM. At least that one drafted well in later rounds.

His drafts have definitely raised eyebrows, but it's too soon to judge. At best, perhaps we can reasonably speculate on his understanding of value and draft slot. For the last two years, it seems he could have gotten both players had he traded down for a lower spot and extra picks. In other words, he overpaid two years in a row.

On the other hand, he did finally acquire a legitimate WR. He also realized Kellen Davis and Devin Hester sucked at their jobs, so he acted accordingly. That deserves some kudos.

Anyone could see those things though. And if Cutler wasn't on the Bears, I doubt they would have even traded for Marshall anyway.

Plus I think were past the point of it being too early to judge drafts. Other teams are drafting guys that contribute right away while the Bears are getting guys that can barely fill out the practice squad. It's getting ridiculous.
