From the Trib:

The Bears could hear as early as Wednesday from the league office about discipline for Ricky Manning Jr., a league source said. Don't be surprised if it's a one-game suspension. He likely would serve the penalty Sunday against the Patriots and miss an AFC game rather than appeal and miss a game later against an NFC opponent. The cornerback, who pleaded no contest in September to a felony assault charge from an incident in the spring, leads the Bears with four interceptions in his role as nickel back.

I can't believe they waited until week 11 to do this. I hope he appeals it and then serves it next week.

With the timeliness that the NFL employs in dealing with matters like these, if he appealed, he might be suspended for the Superbowl

If Vasher or Tillman was hurt I'd agree. I think Wesley will be fine stepping into a nickel role.

As I said when it happened, I hope he does well when he is wearing blue and orange. However, I will not complain about any punishment he receives from his employer or the legal system. One game was not enough, and the Bears should consider matching the penalty of their own volition.

Nas, the day after the Bears gave him 25 mil he goes out and does THAT. I would be plenty peeved as an employer and I would have taken a maximum chunk out of his paycheck and given him a punch to the ego that he would not forget. This is a repeat offender who is showing no remorse for his actions. Let him know it is unacceptable.
