Absolute fucking train wreck on that last play.

And to have to hear that fuckwad Joe Buck call it.

How about that delay of game no call?

Thats why 3 players came running off the field thinking they stopped them.

That was brutal. I thought the touchback call was bad but that was clearly a blown call.

You never, ever see them blow the whistle exactly at :00. I know because I see it every few weeks and the announcers will explain that really, there's a delay in the ref seeing it and blowing his whistle and then they have the ref in the studio say the same thing. Yeah, it sucks, but it's not like they called it differently today.

You do. This wasn't a bang bang call though. The ball wasn't moving at 0. It was clearly a delay of game.

You certainly never see it against the Bears because Jay's already angrily called timeout.

The way the announcers usually explain it is that there is an extra .5 second or so built in because once the clock hits zero, the ref in charge will then look for the snap.

Yep. Seems like something that there should be a better system in place to call, but they don't use one.

Lets get a shot clock buzzer. Then no more judgement calls.

Someone explain to me that last play. I mean I imagine there are situations where the safeties line up on the first down marker but conte should definitely have dropped back right?

He blew up that receiver

I winder if that was a mental error or what?

You guys should know that when the clock hits 0:00 (0 for the play clock) it doesn't mean time has expired. It means there is between 0 and 1 second left. Time expires exactly one second after the clock hits 0:00. That's why the NBA shows tenths.

Not true. The buzzer hits 0 when there is no time remaining. Without tenths of a second the clock would remain on 1.

The Bears Safety play this year is probably the worst that I have ever seen. It is inexcusable that Tucker continued to play Conte. Unbelievable really.

Conte plays 3 miles deep every play. The fact he came up on the play probably was like a huge invite to Rodgers saying THROW OVER THE MIDDLE.

Think of all the short passes thrown by the packers all game and very few contested, so here comes Conte to save the game, (His choice or Tuckers>?) either way, wide open deep middle.

And the out of time for GB was not a normal play. It was a 4th down of which McCarthey and Rodgers took an abnormal amount of time talking about it and refs should have been very aware of it.

I am sure it does happen weekly on a few plays that are not under so much scrutiny.

Several times today, in other games, I saw the play clock hit zero just before the ball was snapped.

OK, we know it happens in other games, in other plays.

This was a 4th down situation with the game on the line, more attention is usually paid in season ending situations. Especially when teams dont have TO's to burn and they have sideline meetings.

I agree. It happens all the time but I can't recall it being missed at such a critical point in the game.

He either mistakenly thought it was zone when it was man, or knew it was man and tried to jump the that other route right at the sticks.

This wasnt 2nd down on the other 23 with 8 mins left in the second.

The refs are playing Mr 100% accurate today, because that call on #12's "fumble" , which was a fumble, was a very tough and accurate call. Explained wrong by the refs and Pererira, but still correct call.

Still, Bears lost this game on numerous other plays.

The Bears shouldn't have been given the opportunity to lose it on other plays though. They should have gotten the ball after the penalty.

Yep. Not surprising at all. Ironically, the thing I complain about with the Bears oftentimes is how we give up completions to receivers camping right at the first down line. Conte made a play to shut that down and got burned. I guess I can understand why he looked to cut that off, but man, he just really gave up on the coverage at that point. He really sucks.

Totally agree with this, and I think you don't call it at that point because do you want the game "decided by the refs" who blew the whistle as the snap was done? It wasn't like it was 2 seconds after it turned to a 0, it was maybe a half a second. As a Bears fan, I would have loved to have seen them whistle the play dead, but I can't say that I felt this was an egregious error.

Even if they blow the whistle, Green Bay still has a 4th and six.

As for the TD, it was most likely a cover zero look that Conte fucked up.
