Jevon Kerse has the reccord at 14.5. I find this remakable. What percentage of defensive plays has Anderson played this year? 20%? Maybe 30% at most. Think of all of the rookie defensive line men who have played most of the snaps through the years. Hell if he played all of the time he might have the all time reccord. I know some people say he's not good against the run but if you can get me 25 sacks in a year I'll take that. I hope he gets the reccord.

Anderson is already a better pass rusher than Brown or Ogunleye. I will be surprised if he isn't a starter very soon. Both of the starting ends have had mediocre seasons and are strong candidates for replacement. The past few games have made it clear that the Bears desperately need a better pass rush from the front 4.

I think there's something to be said about him being effective because of his fresh legs. I don't think you can assume that he would double his sack total if he played twice as much.

There's also something to be said for his unbelievable first step and surprisingly polished rushing skills. Several of his sacks have come early in games, by the way.

Anderson seems very similar to Simeon Rice to me in terms of his size, speed and production. I think Rice played at about 250 his rookie year and also had 12.5 sacks.

I would take a career like Rice's out of Anderson if he can get to the QB the way Rice has. Your superfast, pursuing LBs should be able to fill the gaps against the run.

I heard Ron Rivera the other morning saying that they need to get him on the field more. I wonder with the work Brown is getting at the 3 technique DT that he might be moving to more of a DT/De sliding guy in case Tommie is slow to rehab or doesnt resign.

I wouldn't be surprised if Anderson is starting next year and a few pounds heavier.

There is something to be said about him surprising O-linemen at first. Nobody doubled him or thought much of him because he was a nobody coming into the League. Fresh legs help I'm sure. But he is a talent no matter how you spin it.

I can't remember who I heard talking about him, but they mentioned that he was doing things that veterans do (2 moves etc). He's definitely one that will continue to improve with some more muscle and experience in the league.

Alex Brown weighs only 260 pounds, so it's not like Anderson needs to put on a ton of weight. Say what you will about his "fresh legs", but his pass rush moves are already better than Ogunleye's or Brown's. The guy appears to have elite pass rushing skills and will be starting very soon...

Good one Coach. If the Packers are out of the playoffs by kick off he might lay down for Anderson. LOL. That was bull shit how he helped Straham. I wouldn't want Anderson to get the reccord that way. Plus I'll bet Favre doesn't even know he's closing in. The all time reccord was a bigger deal at the time and everybody knew about it.

We disagreed about this early in the season but I think the production has proven the point. I look at Anderson as being a KGB type. He is not a complete defensive end yet, but pass rushing skills are an uncommon commodity in this league.

The one issue we debated earlier was that Anderson's production would make Brown expendable. In truth, it may make Ogunleye the odd man out. However, I think you need to keep as many people with pass rushing skills as you can. I'd keep them all and rotate the position. I would not move Brown inside.

When Ogunleye is playing, he is superior to Brown in pass rushing. You don't depart with that commodity. It is especially apperent when you consider Brown's pass rush is very inconsistent. He has multiple sack games and then goes weeks without one.
