I think so. But this thread allows me to show my favorite Tillman highlight:

How could he be a Hall of Famer when guys like Everson Walls and Jack Tatum aren't?

Charles Woodson will be in the hall. No doubt.

Yeah, but a guy like Darren Sharper might not.

Nope, can't see him getting in. He got a ton of stats from a long career but he wasn't a game changer like woodson can be.

But Sharper would have to go in ahead of Tillman, wouldn't he?

Probably. He has some important jewelry as well.

Nobody is arguing about a guy like Woodson getting in a place like the Hall of Fame. We're talking about a guy like Tillman getting in when there are many better guys who never will.

Ok gotcha. I think Tillman is better than Sharper has been thus far.

I can't see that. Sharper has been to 5 Pro Bowls and made All-Pro twice. Tillman has been to a single Pro Bowl in nine seasons. The reason I said "a guy like" is because there are so many that were better that will never sniff the Hall of Fame. Tillman's career isn't better than Merton Hanks' or Frank Minniefield's or a ton of other guys.

Tillman should be in the Bears HOF not the NFL HOF. He is a good player who has done alot of good things. I have also seen him play vs Calvin Johnson.

He might be the best corner the Bears have ever had. He probably is.

I would agree with that.

I heard what you are saying but I don't put alot of stock into Pro Bowls.

Tillman has been really damn good for a long time and I think should get consideration for the longevity corollary. He's not done yet either obviously. "Best ball buncher in the National Football League" has become somewhat of a running joke but the fact is he's been the best at it in the league for a long time and brought an elite, unique skill set to a defense that had been very good throughout his tenure. I don't think he's a first ballot guy but I think he'll get in.

I think if he gets a ring, and a few more pick 6's-- which can be an overrated yet 'sexy' stat- he's in for sure.

There is no way he will get in. He is not a shut down corner. Revis, Woodson, Reed are current DB's that will get in. Tillman will not.

Your Packer love has clouded your judgement on how good Peanut is. He's as close as you can get to shut down corner without being labled as shut down. Plus as FF said, he has been really good for a long, long time.

That is your argument? That the BEST WR in the league has put up some numbers on Peanut?

As I said your Packer love has clouded your brain. The baseball HOF is filled with guys who failed 65-70% of the time.

This is not the baseball HOF. He has been a really good player. DB's don't crowd the HOF though. He has no ring, no DPOY...and he isn't a "shut down" corner. He has been great. There have been alot of great cb's. Only the elite make it into the hall and he isn't elite.
