I'm just kidding of course,Cutler is the only real option.

If the Bears had any kind of Defense, maybe Jay doesn't feel compelled to force it so much.

Too much guaranteed money to dump Cutler,I think.

It's a long season, but in the offseason, maybe the Bears can find a viable option to Cutler in the FA market. So if he does play like crap, they could replace him next year.

Oh no, Jimmy. They are going down with Cutler. They have tailor made this offense with Jay in mind. Enjoy.

Call me stupid but I don't think Clausen would have done any worse today than Cutler. The guy has an NFL-ish feel to him.

Not true. They can roll with anyone behind center, like McCown.

Sooner or later all will realize Jay Cutler is not the QB that will lead any team anywhere. Fucking Denver knew it. That is why he is the Bears problem now. And they paid him when they could have franchised him. Total dumbasses.

Yup...& given Jays track record of injuries, Jimmy will get his chance at some point.

But they didn't think that.

The odds seem to be that the NFL is due for a successful QB who went through Notre Dame. Lately it's been mostly tight ends who've made it.

Rick Mirer developed the "deer in the headlights" syndrome, Brady Quinn fizzled out before really getting established... Steve Beuerlein had been one of the few NFL success stories since Joe Theismann. Clausen's arm could take him far.
