I had some opportunity to sample Score pregame yesterday. I thought Mannley was excellent, particularly on his insights about Cutler. He did confirm that Jay and Hester did not get along and strongly indicated that it was because Devin couldn't figure out routes and a game plan during practices from week to week.

It was good.

Hester was also bored in the ST meetings because Mannelly and Gould would just be talking about golf and Hester had to go hang out with the DBs just to stay interested in something.

That Hester and Cutler stuff goes way back to 2009 and Cutler's infamous "He's not a go-up-and-get-it-guy" comment. Hester admitted that the comment bothered him.

but Mannely really gave some context to their relationship. He said Jay was is a person who digests game plans very quickly and has little tolerance for those that don't know their assignment.

You can see why Jay likes the Marshall/Jeffrey types. The seem to make him look better on a weekly basis on balls that have no chance of being caught by lesser receivers.

Well, yeah, if you're Jay Cutler, you certainly love guys who don't require passes to be very accurate.
